The room is a simple as it gets. I'm a Filipino so I knew what kind of room I should be more expecting.
The room has a very basic double bed (comfy for me), an en-suite toilet (mine has a shower, not all rooms have), a wardrobe (seperate mirror).
A wall fan that is away from the power outlet so you'll need an extension. Aircon (old, working, needs professional cleaning). Indoor table and chair for eating.
The beach is a 1000 steps at least.
Shops are all over the place.
If you travel here, this location is perfect for all the small things you may need and not want to bring with you whilst traveling.
Soaps, shampoo, and all that personal care are available everywhere and you can buy in small variations.
Just a minute away, you'll find a store (newly opened) where it sells all types of household items.
In my case, the room I rented didn't have cups, plates, spoons, etc. so I bought what I need in the said store.
Eating out is easy, there's plenty to choose from. Depending on your liking, you vould be dining out with style or just enjoy a simple meal deal.
Pharmacy is also everywhere, and usually sells other stuff too apart from medicine.
If you take the ceres bus, take the bus that goes to bantayan itself. I paid the bus driver from 684php to include everything. However be careful when you choose this option and I don't recommend if you are a foreigner because you will not be registering yourself in the port/office.
Although the whole island is safe, and for emergency purposes, its always better to be recorded...
Read moreThe room is good for its price since its cheap, don’t expect too much. Booked it via Trip and the person that I talked to prior check in was so nice, shr let us checked in early. The only problem is the caretaker, she is not approachable and not so friendly. We ask for blanket since we are two and the blanket is only 1 (and so thin). She refused to provide blanket and she said that its the only inclusion in our pay. Mind you, we are so stress already since we were stranded on thr island due to bad weather. We end up sharing that 1 thin blanket. We even change thr light bulb from the room to the comfort room since the light on the cr is not working and whe we told her about the lights, she said, we can use the cr w/o thr lights. Even though, we exp that kind of situation we are still nice and just find a solution in ourselves.
The place is okay, concidering the price and location. Maybe the only issue is...
Read moreIt's a simple guest house with simple rooms and accommodations. Nothing fancy.
There isn't an immediate visibility of the front desk. We had to ask around where to check in. Although it didn't take long to do thise things and we got our rooms.
They shared their wifi for the first day but it seems like they turn it off at night or change it entirely after. We didn't have wifi anymore exactly when we were staying in our rooms.
Bring your own towels. I don't think the towels are washed properly. They had a funny smell in...
