HEY MOJO Guesthouse by Bantayan Summerhouse — Hotel in Bantayan Island

I recently had the pleasure of staying at HeyMojo in Bantayan Island during my solo travel adventure.

Bantayan Island is known for its pristine beaches, laid-back atmosphere, and charming local culture, and my stay at HeyMojo truly enhanced my experience.

Location: The location of this accommodation is truly unbeatable. It is ideally situated 2-5mins from Kota Beach offering breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters and a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The secluded location made it the perfect retreat for my solo journey. It made exploring the island incredibly convenient. Whether I wanted to stroll to the nearest beach (like Kota Beach, Paradise Beach, Ogtong Cave), MJ Square & other nearby restaurants, Coffee shops, Bar, everything was within easy reach.

Accommodation: The accommodation itself was nothing short of fantastic. I opted for a bunkbed, which was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. Luckily, i enjoyed my room all by myself since the owner let me stay there even though there’s a bed on the other room which is vacant.

Staff: One of the standout features of HeyMojo was the exceptional staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles from Ms Sheila and Ms Ivy and a genuine willingness to assist with any request. The level of service and hospitality was truly commendable, and it made me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay.

Dining: They were also offering silog meals with coffee which is super affordable for me as a budgetarian. The dining area offered beautiful island views, creating a picturesque backdrop for every meal.

Activities: During my stay, the staff provided helpful recommendations for exploring Bantayan Island independently. I rented a motor for only 300/day and explore Bantayan Island for 3 days.

Overall Experience: My stay at HeyMojo in Bantayan Island was a memorable and enriching experience. The combination of stunning natural beauty, comfortable accommodation, outstanding service, and delicious cuisine and super super bait na locals made it a perfect choice for my solo adventure. I left the island with a deep appreciation for its charm and a longing to return.

The guest house is really great. Staffs are very friendly, the room is nice. However, to book an accommodation that cannot accept other guest other than the one who booked in is a bit off. That’s why a guest book an accommodation to have comfort when things gets excited. It’s like you booked a room but can’t be used for personal things. I don’t think it is good to do that. This is my first experience to feel like this for accommodation. Even by rules or policy being put in places by the business it’s not convenient for guess not being able allowed to bring other guesses. Whether for pleasure or personal purposes.also the guest house is locked at night time. You can still go out but you have to disturb the staff every time you go out. Like for today it’s towns fiesta. Legit locked. Even the roof deck area is closed with a plastic yellow chain. I understand the safety issues but that’s the guests...

There's a colorful building along the busy street in poblacion. This is a very affordable high end hostel. High end because the room is really nice, great running water, secured place.The rooms are clean. I love their shower gel and shampoo. There's a welcome drink and shell necklace upon arrival. The roofdeck is a nice place to stay from morning to evening, to rest, work. eat or just hanging around. The staff are accommodating and helpful. It is near the beach - amihan and sugar. There are nearby pharmacy, groceries, restaurants and coffee shops. If you also want tour packages you can also ask the staff..and you can also ask for rent of motor. Wifi is fast so you can...
