I recently visited AYO Cafe in Santa Fe, Bantayan Island, and I was thoroughly impressed! The cafe has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Tucked away in the back of a courtyard, Ayo Cafe professes to have the best coffee on the island. We had two hot long blacks (Americanos) and they did not disappoint . Owner Mahal, is well travelled and has worked as a chef and barista in several countries, honing his coffee making skills in Melbourne, Australia. He gave us two of his homemade choc chip cookies to have with our coffee, not too sweet and the right balance of sea salt for a very tasty snack, while he gave us some local knowledge of where to eat.
