Our room was at the 7th floor of the building. No complaints since elevator was working perfectly. Also, parked our car with no fuss plus security at the parking area was tight. Now, with the room itself, overall it was a relaxing and quiet space, which was exactly what we were seeking. Outlets are conveniently scattered in places which is nice and the fast internet didn't spoil movie hour and sountrip. We were also able to secure said room with a terrace which was a highlight, as all rooms with a view are. No complaints as to amenities which includes toiletries, hair dryer, a safety box, coffee, tea, water, and a small refrigerator. The only undesirable part of the room was this weird smell from the bathroom, probably a plumbing issue or something else, as well as brownish spots within the toilet, especially on the toilet seat which is personally a big deal for me who judges any kind of room or building based on how spotless and fragrant a bathroom is. I don't think they didn't clean it though, no, probably something that can't be removed for whatever reason. Also, maybe the hotel could invest on a more presentable bathroom rug as the one they used in our room is an old (I'm hoping) bathroom towel, folded to make it look like a rug. At home, it would be fine I guess but at a city hotel, not really. And oh, one last thing to point out was the relentless splurge of hot water by the shower which I don't think it was a skill issue as I've tried every turn and tumble on that thing but still I came out of the shower feeling like Snoop, baked and smokey. Overall, 8.5/10. Thank you Eastland Hotel for the pleasant stay, will surely come back and hoping the aforesaid issues are heard...

Pros:
-Great service from staff. Have stayed here several times and the staff have always been extremely friendly and helpful. -Very spacious rooms compared to other hotels at same price level. -Helpful with temporary bag storage if you need to leave bag(s) behind while traveling onwards without being able to take many bags -Strong water pressure and hot water from bathroom sink and showerhead -Very clean and modern lobby, hallways, and rooms -Gym is small but very clean and is air conditioned. -20 minute walk to Ayala center Cebu, 25 minute walk to SM City Cebu.
Cons:
-Extremely loud roosters start to make noise at 3:30 am every morning until at least 9:30 am. And then they continue making noise periodically throughout the day. If you need to sleep well, don’t plan on getting a full night’s sleep, even if you are as high up as the ninth floor the rooster noise still easily reaches there. The noise is more prominent if you are in a room on same side as the elevator (facing President Magsaysay street), but not as much on the other side (facing towards F Cabahug street). -Aircon works but is not strong enough for the size of the room. -WiFi is strong at times but at other times is very weak. Just using cellular data instead (at least with Globe) wasn’t very good either, not the best location for any strong internet connection. -The televisions have never worked in any of the rooms I have stayed in. Only white static is displayed and all channels are inaccessible. A staff member attempted to fix but...
Read moreOK, I start at 3 stars for providing what I paid for and go up or down from there. I feel I got good value for the money I paid. I booked online and got a substantial discount (paid 1400 PHP) on the standard rate. ||For the Philippines it’s a good try at a high end western hotel, but not quite. The area is good, safe, amenities and close to downtown and IT Park. My room was huge! You could play basketball in it 🤣. Good bed and linens. Shower and bathroom good. Kettle, coffee and water provided. Smart TV great, I left it logged in to whoever’s Netflix it was already in, you’re welcome ☺️. ||Now the iffy bits. Note, you have to b!tch repeatedly to get things fixed. ||The internet is shambolic. It was running at 5mbps. I complained and they installed a router in my room. That didn’t actually work properly and couldn’t be bothered to fight so I installed my travel router. Blazing fast (50mbps) internet 😊. ||No fridge in room 🤷♂️😞. The place is new, but not being maintained well, a Philippines problem all over. Rainfall shower sprayed upwards soaking the bathroom. Funky led light up faucet was very loose, just a matter of time before pipes burst. Grime starting to build up in the corners. ||BOTTOM LINE - it’s good for the 1400 PHP I paid but I would be disappointed at the full rate. ||Wow, you read all this 😳. Pls hit the...
