I don't have issue regarding food it's very nice, but their service is the worst I've ever seen, they didn't tell us before we ate, that payment by credit or debit card is not available because they have some issue with their machine, when me just give them card they say it's not working this that and we need to pay by cash. Now me and my girlfriend we both are international tourists here so obviously we won't bring cash to fancy restaurant like this why should we take a risk to bring out cash. They wanted us to take out cash from ATM for which we've to pay extra for our transaction charge, money conversion, international transaction charge. First she asked me to come again tomorrow to pay them. Really!! It's my fault that I come back tomorrow to pay them. Then she said that it's not their fault, this sentence made me frustrated. Whose fault it is then, is it our fault that we came to your so called fancy restaurant with not basic facilities I better go eat Street food then. So we asked for a discount that if you want cash we need a discount because there will be a lot of transfer fees on international cards. In the first place for this kind of inconvenience why don't you give a discount by yourself, we coustmers need to remind that it's the inconvenience caused by you. Okay fine more than that discount less than our transaction fees which was pathetic. So all my dear foreigner friends please ask them what kind of inconvenience they'll cause you before you start eating there. Also staff members don't have manners to talk and how to behave me and my girlfriend literally saw them gossiping about us and that too very near to us. And respected restaurant owner please look out for this matter because lot of foreigner comes to eat at your place make them not regret eat at your place or else you might even have to shut your doors forever. Btw personally never coming back. Thank you for a...

Had a nice solo lunch here on a Saturday. I was looking forward to visiting here after reading the reviews online. I'm just visiting Cebu for a few days.

Ordered the Wagyu Karubi, Cuttlefish, and a Miso Soup.

Amazing value for the price. It's not cheap but quite reasonable for the quality of food. Total bill was about 1,000. Really good value.

From the outside, it's nothing special. Once you enter, you start to feel like you're in for a good time. And I did. Good ambience and clean. Some guests look like regulars.

I spent about 45 mins in the restaurant, unrushed. Service was quick, but that may have been because I was one of their first customers of the day.

Would suggest coming in earlier before the rush of customers during peak hours. I arrived about 11:30am and was asked if I had a reservation. If I were in a larger group, I might not have been able to find a seat.

Definitely a place to come back to during a...

They have no desserts. But the food are delicious.

Kanyoen Yakiniku Restaurant in Cebu City is a great place to go for an authentic Japanese yakiniku experience. The restaurant is owned by a Japanese couple, and you can tell from the atmosphere and quality of the food. The menu has a wide selection of meats and seafood, as well as traditional Japanese side dishes. The meat is of high quality and cooked to perfection over hot flames.

The service is attentive and polite and the staff is friendly. The only downside is that it can be a bit pricey, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. Highly recommended for those who love grilled meat.

1. Make sure to reserve before going. Kanyoen has the best quality and authentic wagyu beef i've tried in Cebu City. Very good value for money. Staff gradually checks on yoi as the dining is a mix of private booths and shared tables. There is also a small function room beside the main entrance. Parking might be a problem during peak hours. They have private parking, but you have to cross the road.
