Located in the residential streets of Kasambagan, the daily grind offers a quaint selection of breakfast/brunch food, and coffee. Providing affordable prices for both locals and tourists living next in the next door hostel, the cafe is overall a pretty decent place to grab a quick bite or have coffee. The bright, accommodating, and friendly staff, along with the light music and ambience makes the cafe the decent place to sit down and relax.
We came around 1pm lunchtime and I ordered their signature white brew which was too sweet to my liking; it was more milk than it was coffee, even so the price to portion ratio was very nice and highly recommended for people who are looking to just get a decent iced coffee. Although displayed on the register was a selection of teas, only one of them was actually available as of writing this. The servers were quick to provide iced service water which made our group happy after not eating/drinking anything that day. We ordered their adobo flakes, which was really good texturally and tasted decent for its price at 190Php. Their Humba was made salty and flavorful by its black beans. Their pancakes were sweet but alright in terms of texture, although they did overcook their scrambled eggs. The places was littered with foreigners, and even has an international ATM machine outside which was unfortunately out of order at the time of writing this. The two-storey al fresco area is home to several plants to shield the area from the residential street that it is situated in. They also had a selection of good looking mini-cakes which we unfortunately opted out to order.
tl;dr food and service was good, food-price-portion ratio was decent, with no worthwhile complaints whatsoever...
Read moreBeen there, nice and cozy place. Food was fine and a little bit pricey but I am not sure what happened yesterday (June 23, 2022) when the staff aren't as hospitable as the ones who had cars parked outside - they seemed selective when they treat their customers. The crew didn't even show initiative for their customers such as telling us their best sellers or even the basic greeting at us when we enter as they seemed pre-occupied in doing "something" despite almost all of them are in the counter area and just even gossiping and laughing. They just left us standing there and tell our orders like we're some kind of statue while staring at us. It's very unnerving and unprofessional to my taste especially that my wife and I just...
Read moreOne of my go-to coffee shops in Metro Cebu. Has a good chill vibe. They play music that can both be a hit or miss depending on your taste. Good place to do meet ups, reading a book (depending on the time of day) and small office work. They have a decent lineup of coffee products - my go to is either the Hazelnut latte or their signature iced coffee. They serve American breakfast and traditional Filipino breakfast and meals. Food is so-so and okay for its price range.
You can smoke and or vape on the second level of the cafe. Alfresco. Oh, they have limited parking space but there are nearby parking slots. Their staff are also well-mannered but sometimes wear a frown specially during the busy times.
Overall, I highly...
