Griffin Hotel and Suites — Hotel in Cebu City

Edit: 3 years later i’m visiting Philippines again and decided to stay in same hotel. my 5 review star stands. Rooms were clean, your own adjustable ac, nice restrooms with hot shower, staff is polite and attending, and whole family enjoyed hot breakfast. Even at higher budget, this hotel would be my choice because it provides everything I need.

We have booked this hotel based on high reviews and i love it so far and I think reviews are honest. Super friendly staff, very clean rooms and showers. Our room had safe locker, tv with lots of channels to chose, and ac. Everything in hotel is well-thought. No fridge, but with their food offers you won’t need it. They have great choices of sandwiches, burgers, breakfasts, tea, coffee, anything you want. I’m quite demanding when it comes to food and I’m glad I don’t have to go out to look for decent food. The sink is clogged, we need to wait several minutes just to drain itself ,the doorknob in the toilet is broken, got locked up every time so we just didn't lock the door. We only have one pillow each, the blanket is super thin and it's not even for hotel use. I had to share it with my partner even if it was too small, good only for one person use. The fitted sheet is so thin that you can see the cover of the main bed. It's extremely noisy ,especially in the morning We don't know if it's the neighborhood playing loud music early in the morning. It's fine but the hotel is not totally sound proofed. There are also noises coming from the droplets of AC from the higher level,that makes an exasperating noise. The front desk staff - Superb ! The cooks Chookie and Cookie absolutely brilliant ....their Tom Yum dish was on par with the best I tried in Thailand. The free breakfast , more than adequate and nicely presented . The security staff very helpful and always friendly . The HRM interns , always willing to assist . The hotel is located close to the city centre , but just far enough to avoid the horrid traffic noise . The rooms are a nice size .... not too big , not too small , just nice . Great Wi Fi, the air con was smooth and quiet . All round , this is an accommodating and extremely friendly hotel with a purpose of making you feel relaxed.
