When we first arrived the room it was nice and had AC. We arrived late and went out to party with the plans of a relaxed day tomorrow. We were rudely awoken at around 7:30 to hammering, drills, shouting, etc. Our AC was off so we were sweating, tried to turn on a light to see what the noise was but had no electricity. So none of our phones or cameras had charged. To top it off we also couldn’t take showers or even flush the toilet. We couldn’t even open the curtain to get some light in as there were builders a foot away from our window. Also the builders are so close to the window they could see us showering and on the toilet. We had to use our bed sheets to cover the windows. This is not safe for three young girls on our own. No electricity, water, woken up early and men can see us in the bathroom. So I complained. Staff were apologetic but manager was rude. She told us that the water and electricity was not their fault as it was the area that had been cut off but they were aware and didn’t tell their customers. On our first day we were told by the staff that the construction work should not start before 10 and was promised a free breakfast the next day I complained at 8 am in the morning and was told that they had a deadline to meet so the construction work had to start earlier. The manager took no responsibility for the bad service we had received since arriving. I heard her on the phone to the boss saying that “yes she’s still not happy”. I interrupted and said “why would I be happy? You are offer a place to sleep but I can’t even sleep so what am I even playing for?”. The manager was so rude and dismissive of every point I made, never making a valid point. In the end we demanded our money back and are going to find somewhere else. There are other places in the local area that are cheaper and don’t have ignorant, unhelpful, miserable management. Please don’t be fooled by the hammocks and beanbags this place isn’t worth the...

Private fan room, 2 persons, couple, 6 nights, 27/12/2019 - 02/01/2020

Pro We much enjoyed our stay here. The staff is friendly and english speaking, the food is very good (try the Phillipino breakfast with chicken!) , there's a great atmosphere and easy to get to know others as solo traveller, the canyoneering trip was amazing, a must do recommended day activity!! , the cocktails are good and we enjoyed a nice NYE cocktail-&food buffet. The 'lobby' is a nice seated area with 2 hammocks, upstairs is another chill out room with comfy bigboy seats and 2 hammocks, darts game and billiard. They play good music during the day and in the evening. Bar closes mostly at 22pm, depending the weekend later. Late checkout at noon. Shower had warm water. Fewer mosquitos than Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia. There is a beach a 3min walk away to do amazing snorkeling (behind Chili bar) with shoals of sardines and we saw a sea turtle at White Beach. There are 2 drinking water fountains for free.

Con The rooms get hot during the day and are hard to cool off with just fans. There are dorms and private rooms with a/c but they were more expensive. A good trick is to open the window and leave the door ajar during the night. We felt safe doing this. The bathroom for the private fan rooms was very small, the doors don't lock, the toilet was clogged half of the time (could be due to tourists not respecting the tp in bin rule), there was another toilet available outside to use. The room smelled a bit damp, but OK to SE...

I can't say enough good things about this place. The location is perfect since you are super near to the beach and on the other hand close enough to hit the local bars as well. It's on the main road so easy to get anywhere. I stayed in the dorm and I was super impressed on how clean the rooms are and the ac kept the room comfortable to sleep or hangout in at anytime of the day.

Each room has 4 beds made of cement so it doesnt make any noise while you get in or out of bed, plus storage and plug in so you can have your electronics right next to you. The bathroom and showers where kept in good condition so no complaints there either. Wifi is spotty so if you need to get work done i would recommend using globe service since its more reliable than Smart. The staff is super friendly and the rooftop is very chill and spacious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay and I will definitely be staying here...

A good hostel. Stayed there for 5 days. It's a hostel and not a hotel /lodging place You get good variety of western food from 8AM to 10PM They arrange the tourist attractions, bikes and transportation, but if you are not lazy, I suggest you to try to get the services from outside and you'll save a bit. The facilities at the reception/lobby area is really good with few beds and hammocks Please get a AC room. Personal rooms are very small with shared bathrooms. Since it's a hostel, the cleanliness is average. Staff is friendly (But I had a fight with 1 staff named Edwin as he refused to give my room keys at night) They arrange beer pong on Saturday evenings. Billiards, Dart, Chess, Music, Beers and Cocktails Food.. What else you need in life Just few steps away from Panagsama beach (where the Sardine rush and turtle watch spot is located) you can dive/snorkel anytime if you are staying here, as it's very near. Cheers!
