Okay first of all, food has been good BUT ITS NOT WORTH IT. I had been traveling for months without any problems with any food I ate. We arrived in Moalboal and we ate in two places most of the time like honestly 90% of the time.

One day I started to experience diarrhea and stomach pains. I came back to home and want to know what I found out. I have THREE, I repeat THREE different food poison bacterias that has been affecting me badly for weeks. Literally have been experiencing bloody water diarrhea for more than a week. Now im on antibiotics.

Imma tell you : From these places youll get

E Coli Shigella And to top it off Campylobacteria 😍

All of these bacteria start to produce symptoms about 2-5 days after eating, and we were in Moalboal for a week. And the whole week we literally ate here. Im 99% sure that at least one of the bacteria came from this exact place.

I suggest to take a gooood long thought before coming here and Smooth Cafe Moalboal .... i know the food is good and affordanle and that is what got us coming back and coming back. Now im regretting it all.

For the restaurant, I really suggest you test your food and staff for these...

First of all, the food tastes good and the shop is nicely decorated.

However, when it comes to the portions I would definitely not call it a Taverna or restaurant. I guess snack bar would be suitable. The portions are tiny and I am not talking about in comparison to Greek portions.

We had the Moussaka, the chicken gyros and a regular ‘Greek’ salad. The Moussaka is definitely not a main dish. I have never seen such a small portion, and it comes on its own. The regular Greek salad is a lettuce based salad and has nothing to do with a real Greek salad. As a regular salad, it wasn’t too bad, just really small and the lettuce leaves weren’t really fresh throughout. The Gyros comes in a Pita-wrap. The bread tastes nice, but for the gyros you really have to search, there is only a very small portion. It comes with three (1,2,3) wedges.

When it comes to the service I can’t say they are unfriendly but rather cold and not very welcoming.

After the food we needed another...

I had such an amazing experience at this Greek restaurant! Everything, from the food to the atmosphere, was absolutely excellent. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived.

Every dish I tried was packed with flavor and beautifully presented, but my absolute favorite was the Tria Souvlaki. The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned — you could really taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients.

And please, save some room for dessert! The selection is seriously tempting. I went for the Bougatsa, and it completely blew me away, the cream was smooth and rich, and the pastry had that perfect balance of crispness and sweetness. Truly incredible.

It’s one of those places where you can tell that everything is made with care and passion. I’ll definitely be coming back, highly recommend it to anyone who loves authentic Greek food and...

Was really looking forward to this as i like greek food however this was SO unauthentic and really expensive for what it was. The food lacked many vegetarian main dishes, i ended up going with the rice platter falafel, we got some bruschetta & my partner got a pork dish. I couldn’t believe the state in which my food came out, genuinely looked like it had been pre made days ago & was not hot at all. The falafel itself was nice as well as the dips. I ate my food as i was hungry & it was quite late so most things were about to close however if we had gone earlier we would’ve walked out. I don’t know if maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes however the food was appalling & the most expensive meal we have had in the philippines so far. We have had cheaper, way more food with 10 times better taste. The greek stall down the road is a million times better. Overall wouldn’t really recommend at all.
