Maayong Hostel was perfect! We stayed in one of the bungalows with a private bed and bathroom. The bathroom was outdoor, partially covered and partially screened. There was a standard, hot shower and a bamboo, cold, waterfall shower. My favorite on a hot day. The espresso here is the best in town. Maureen and Ayong were great. We paid a couple dollars more to schedule the canyoneering here but it was WELL worth it. We left early, took a tricycle and were the first ones down the canyon with little to no crowd. We had several spots to ourselves and on our way back while the buses of other tourists were arriving. Really like the location as we were a short walk to the Main Street but it was perfectly quiet. Everyone here is great. Happy hour is fun with Evelyn and ? serving drinks and answering all of our questions. I would have a hard time staying anywhere else when visiting Moalboal.
