Francisco Inn — Hotel in El Nido

We stayed only a night after staying 2 nights in the hotel just across the street called Netibo Pension House. But we were forced to find another place as they already accepted an online booking. |We therefore asked them for help and they managed to find a double twin room with bathroom in Francisco Inn at 500pesos/night.||Our room was clean - we had a cute pair of Hello Kitty bedsheets haha - and the bathroom as well. No hot water in the shower but the weather is usually hot so it doesn't feel that cold.|It was a room with fan so it was really hot at night...||One good surprise in our room, we realized at night the view from the window was wonderful. A sky full of stars above the rock. Unfortunately, the sound of the generator in the middle of the night wasn't a good one...||Internet wasn't working well but I guess it's the same everywhere on the island.||Tables and chairs are available at each floor if you want to have a rest outside of your room.||The hotel was central and only 10min walk from the main beach where all the tours start. The staff could have been friendlier - they seemed to be annoyed anytime we ask for something - but it was ok. |We actually first contacted for informations for a tour but the lady at the reception didn't seem to be aware of anything. She still wanted us to book a tour but we checked at other agencies and the one she offered was supposed to be cancelled because of the weather and she didn't even mention it...||In the end, I think this place is still a great one for budget travelers like us willing to stay a few days in El Nido for a...

The area is a little small. But the good thing though is that it offers budget friendly rooms in El Nido. Most of their rooms are fan-room so if you are not into this kind, i think try another hotel. Francisco Inn is located near the port of El Nido, several minutes away from the van terminal, a few steps away from the Municipal Hall of El Nido and near most of the souvenir shops. What i didn't like most in this place is the water. The water used for their lavatories, showers and faucets stinks! It really smells bad. It took me a long time to think about brushing my teeth using this water because it feels so weird. Another thing is, the window of the room i got has its locking system malfunctioning. The window is near the rooftop of the next building so i just find it a little unsafe shall anybody try to climb up and get to my room. The stairs are also quite narrow that you have to really take a very careful look on what you are stepping with. We stayed 5 days at Franciscos. For El Nido is a very economy accomodation. They have a/c rooms or fan room. The price is very good compared to the other in el nido. The location is very good. You can not expect much but they are clean, nice staff, helpfull, ghe internet is slow but that is everywhere in el nido. They have a generator in case there is not electricity. Hot water for coffee evry morning is at the terrace. Not hot water in the bathroom but it is hot in el nido, so better cold shower. We can say that we like staying there.
