Our expectations were high due to good ratings, and sadly we were a bit disappointed. First of all, they were out of baguette and wheat, so the only bread type they had to offer was a local specialty. This, on the other hand, had a lot of flavor and was very good! Secondly, one of the waitresses spoke English with a lot of accent, and wasn’t quite easy to understand. Luckily, the other waitress spoke great English and even told us about their restaurant and gave us tips about some beaches to visit. Thirdly, we still paid sandwich price, even though we got a sort of a bun, due to the fact that they were out of the other types.

All in all, the food was great, but the service and lack of alternatives on the menu...

I absolutely adore this location. The bread is always fresh and with loads of tasty fillings, making it the perfect choice for a packed lunch before a boat trip. The El Matador sandwich stands out as my top pick, with the Meat Overload as a close second. Their cold brew coffee is exceptionally good which I’ve had every morning since I’ve been in El Nido. The place ideal for hanging out, largely thanks to the friendly owners, Pau and Mae, who are always ready for a chat and offer helpful travel tips for Palawan. It has quickly become my go-to spot in El Nido, and I'm sure to miss it...
