MILVIR TOURIST INN — Hotel in El Nido

Stayed here for 2 nights and I have to say that the hospitality here is really unmatched! Mil and Vir really do go out of their way to take care of their guests!

I was a solo traveller and they made me feel safe and right at home! They arranged for the round trip via Puerto Princesca (yes, the 6 hour van journey) and texted along the way to ensure that I was safe, since I was arriving late at night. They sent a staff to pick me up from the road. The next morning, they even woke up early to cook me a complimentary breakfast! And made sure that I had booked my dive trips and Island trips and was charged the average price.

The single room that I had booked was spacious and clean. It had everything for a comfortable stay. Coffee, tea and water was complimentary. There are areas to hang out at and they are deliberately decorated. They even let me shower at the inn after the Island trip since I was going to take the van to Puerto Princesca.

The location of the inn is not at the centre of town, but that is a good thing, because it is quiet and away from the crowd. It is only about a 15 min stroll to town, so it is still very convenient. The bus/van terminus is located just one block beside the inn.

The price of the room is also very attractive. Do come and...

We stayed at MilVir for 3 nights after we arrived from Coron. It’s a great place if you travel low budget and want to meet locals!

MilVir is located very closely to the Tour-Boat-Harbour and many vibrant beach bars, so we barely needed TukTuks at night. Regarding the location you just have to be aware that you will stay in a very local-look-alike area, which includes sounds.

The rooms are standard, average as described on the pictures. And compared to many other locations we checked, there was no weird smell. We didn’t have windows in our room, so you will not be disturbed by light from windows, which makes it good to sleep. However, if you require silence and a cold room, you may require earplugs due to the noisy AC.

The service was nice and MilVir as well as his many employees at the Inn are were very helpful. They assisted us a lot with rescheduling our vans to Puerto Princessa several times and recommended us an excellent hospital for the water and food poisoning...

We choose MILVIR TOURIST INN because it has a good location and good hospitality, we came for 3 nights to make some tours for island hopping. When we arrive we quickly felt like home with the two very kind owners. They helped us with the tours and gave us the cheapest prices for sure when asking other people, they prepared for us a special breakfast with a decorative table as soon they knew we where newly weds and the food was always great. When our time was up to move to Coron they still helped us by holding some of our bags for a week and a half and when we came back we decided to stay one more night with these great people who helped us again to book for us the cheapest van to travel to Puerto Princesa. MilVir is not the luxury type hotel but these kind people make it so with there kindness. We really recommend this hotel and we wish to thank Mil and Vir for there help...
