We recently stayed here, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. While the price was low, the service reflected that. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by a musty smell throughout the building that felt more like an old, moldy structure than a welcoming inn or hotel. The room itself was a disappointment. The bed and towels had noticeable stains, leading me to question whether they had been properly cleaned. One towel even had a stain that looked like blood or mud, which was quite off-putting. The bathroom was in terrible condition, with faucets and showerheads covered in rust and mold.Security was lacking, and I found it concerning that there were no guards on site. If your room was on a higher floor, you were left to lug your own luggage up the stairs, as there's no elevator. It was frustrating, especially if you had heavy bags, and I felt bad for the few staff members who were often overwhelmed. The location is quite far from the beach, making it inconvenient if you're planning tours in El Nido. To make matters worse, during our stay, there was a power outage and the hotel had no generator. The staff didn't offer any apologies or assistance, which added to our disappointment.Overall, I cannot recommend this Inn. The lack of cleanliness, poor service, and inadequate facilities made for a regrettable experience. I won't be returning, and I urge others to consider different...
Read moreThe hotel has been disappointing. We expected that, given that it cost around 6,100 PHP per night (equivalent to 100 €), it would be quite acceptable. To begin with, the bathroom was very dirty. There was black mold everywhere, as well as pink mold, and the faucets were rusty and filthy. The rest of the room, barely has any furniture for storing the clothes of two people. Breakfast is not included, which would have been reasonable for this price. The common areas were also very dirty. If it had been a hotel costing around 1,220 PHP per night (about 20 €), you can’t expect much, but at the very least it should be clean—that’s the minimum. Probably one of the worst places I have ever stayed in my life. I would not return...
Read moreMayad El Nido Inn is a low budget hotel with a high end price! We've been travelling in the Philippines for 6 weeks now, staying at different places over the time and this is the worst accommodation we've had. We paid 5200pesos/night (no breakfast), thinking we would get better conditions for the price we paid.Sadly it's not a case. This hotel is worth 2000pesos/night for what they offer to their guests and anything above that, it's a daylight robbery!!! The only positives were the friendly staff and quiet air con.Seriously, save your hard earned money,go somewhere cheaper,as you'll get the same conditions but...
