I’m from North Carolina 🇺🇸 I lived at this hostel for 2 weeks. I originally came to stay for 2 nights and fell in love with not only the sunset views and El Nido itself, the amazing staff honestly became like family to me. We shared so many great moments. We all went out on the town together, they took care of me when I had too much to drink, made sure I had the best experience ever. I am typing this review with a heavy heart because this is my last night and I’m going to miss them all so much. Rose 🌹 is very “special” and made me smile and laugh so much. I told some of the guest she was my future wife 😂 She always greeted me saying something funny that made me smile. Joshua aka “Jose” is a great bartender and even better singer. Darren told me his name was “Alberto” when we first met and he can make a pretty damn good drink too. David, (the new guy) is working really hard trying to fit in with these misfits. Kae, Balle and Nhamhie are your servers and are like Charlie’s Angel’s of Sip hostel! They are all so hardworking and have a beautiful smile that will make you want to order another beer just to see them smile again. “T” is another one of the bartenders. I watched him work hard and make really good drinks. He would greet me every morning with a coffee and every night with a mojito. Gomaria is multitalented! He can cook and make you a drink! Last but not least, I want to thank the wonderful Chefs, Zay &Jake for cooking all the amazing food. This was truly the best Hostel I ever stayed at. I will miss the sunsets, the drinks, the laughs and the smiling faces. Of course I can’t forget the front desk staff and the amazing housekeeping staff. I love them all too. I will miss my new friends so much. But I will return one day sooner than later 🏝️ ☀️ If I could leave this place a 10 star review, I damn sure would 🥹 We are all going out to sing karaoke tonight for my final send off. I really felt the true meaning of “Welcome Home...
Read moreService bad. I needed to go up to the bar to order as no one attended to me any service or welcome or anything.
Secondly the drink was tasteless for a sangria.
The beach from beanbag chair area had a smell and many flies landing on you. I barely drank the one Sagara sangria I ordered and left to go to Maramegmeg beach. Much much better and you can swim in the beautiful beach + order food and drinks.
I do not recommend and i would not return.
P.S. In response I did not stay at this hostel in fact I’ve never stayed at a hostel before so what are they even talking about, lol. I stayed at a hotel directly at El Nido Beach. And I slept in late so definitely was not having a sangria in the morning, I was definitely at this place around 2ish pm thinking there was going to be a sunset but there is not one at this location and ended up going to Maranegmeg beach to chill it’s so much better for sunset. Also there were whole drinks people left that they didn’t even drink. And BTW you must not of looked to clearly because I definitely give businesses starts where deserved. Art cafe has 5 states. Don Macchiato’s 5 stars….and many more. I am a grown woman go pull your big girl pants up because I did in fact have to go up to the bar to order and asked the girl who brought my drink to take my photos and then the WiFi was not working and had to go to the bar once again. Check your thoughts because you have the wrong person I never stayed at your...
Read moreThe staff are all so kind and welcoming. They all learnt my name and use it every time they see me. They really made me feel like family. The beds are comfy and the air con is always a welcome relief from the heat. Bathrooms are nice and clean with good water pressure. The staff are constantly handing out free shots for those who want them, but never pressure you to drink if you don't want to. There's a happy hour from 5 - 7, where you get 2 for 1 cocktails. Plus the party is always very chill, so it doesn't impact you getting a good sleep. Excellent food and cocktails. The WiFi has been the strongest I've had in The Philippines. The atmosphere is fantastic and I have happily spent multiple days just relaxing at the hostel all day. The location is right on the beach, so the views are amazing even if it's raining. A little way out from the main part of El Nido, so you avoid too much hustle and bustle, but still easily within walking distance. The laundry was cheap and high quality; my clothes haven't smelt this clean for a while. They help with bike rental, island hopping tours and pretty much anything else you may need. I've extended my stay twice already and may even end up extending it again. I really can't give this place high enough praise. 11/10! I would absolutely stay here again and recommend...
