We arrived around midnight and were pretty tired from the long bus ride from Puerto Princesa. The front desk lady checked us in right away so that we could rest right away. I was hyped when I saw the room because the bed was huge with a thick comfy mattress. The airconditioning worked well too and they had cable tv. It came handy for us when we woke up the following day and heavy rain was pouring in El Nido. We decided to cancel our plans for island hopping and just stayed in - no regrets at all, the shows in Animal Planet had us really entertained. Hahaha||||The free breakfast was enough to get us full, although the Longanisa meal set only had one longanisa so we decided to add extra ham. At least the meal came with free coffee (that you can prepare to your own liking) or juice.||||The whole stay was seamless, except for the time when they knocked on our door around 6AM to check if we left the tap open. I groggilu checked our restroom and it was pretty dry but the lady who checked on us didn't seem convinced so I let her in so she can check for herself, she didn't find anything either. We understand plumbing issues can arise every now and then, and they have to stay on top of it right away, but it would have been great if they gave us a heads-up that they'll be cutting off the water source for the toilet. We already peed in it before we found out. The faucet and the shower remained on though, so yehey! ||||On the day of our checkout, we were scheduled to go island hopping so we packed our bags ahead and they kindly allowed us to leave our stuff in their care so they can get the room ready for the next guest. Overall, it was still a great experience. I'm looking forward to seeing how their on-going construction turns out in...
Read moreWe ended up booking this “hotel” because our trip was a spontaneous decision and there were no other options available in the area. However, I strongly advise against staying here! The rooms are small and outdated, and the bathroom was unclean, with previous guests' empty shampoo packets left behind. The toilet seat was barely attached, and there was even hair on the walls. Apart from the neatly made beds, everything else was a disaster. The balcony had clearly not been cleaned in a long time, and our feet got dirty when we spent time there. The breakfast was average, but my coffee-making experience was marred by the presence of large cockroaches. It was quite unpleasant. To make matters worse, the owner's small dog relieved itself in the hallway right in front of our room. It was a disgusting sight and added to the overall negative experience. (Ground floor, room 7) Furthermore, the view was far from what was promised. Instead of a picturesque mountain view, we were greeted with a limited view of the mountains, a half-built home structure, and noisy chickens and roosters from neighboring properties that woke us up every morning. In summary, we only chose this hotel due to last-minute circumstances, but I cannot recommend it. The small, outdated rooms, lack of cleanliness, encounters with insects, and the unpleasant incident with the owner's dog were all major disappointments. Additionally, the view did not meet our expectations. I hope the hotel management takes these issues seriously and improves the experience for...
Read moreWe had a comfortable stay here the beds comfortable and the AC excellent especially if you stay in one of the newer rooms. The shower was also hot and powerful. The wifi in the rooms was pretty poor but the rooftop restaurant had the best wifi I found in El nido! They booked our bus back to Puerto princessa for 500pp which was good as they dropped us at our hotel at the other end but give yourself time as the buses only leave when full!! We did tour c which was good fun we paid 1000 through a random tour guide we found in town so worth shopping around as everyone else on our boat had paid 1400 so it pays to shop around!! We also went to Los cabanas beach which was nice to relax on about 100pp to get thr then 150pp back. Hostel was an easy 10 minute walk into town so we never bothered with tricycles you can also eat in the market for cheap seafood or meat and rice is about 100-150pp expect to pay more like 400-500pp to eat at the...
