It was a cozy hotel. Nicely done up. Breakfast was pretty good with 4 choices ( to be decided the night before & served at the room’s patio ). They also provide speedboat tours. We had tour B & tour D on our 1st day together with another couple. They need at least 4 pax for the speedboat tour at 3000 pesos per pax. Then we also had tour A & tour C also for the same price as we had 6 in the speedboat. The speedboat tours arranged by the hotel were well organised and very relaxing. We prefer speedboat to the slow boat as we could cover combination tours with speedboat. Also there’s a rather good Asian Massage just next to the hotel offering 400 pesos for 1hr body or foot massage. Would recommend this hotel and the speedboat tours offered by the hotel.

I have never taken the time to write a bad review of a hotel, but this time is needed. The rooms don’t look like the pictures, this is more like a hostel with little privacy (you can hear everything), the prices for their services are way overcharged, the smell of the room was awful (we had to buy an air freshener) and our bathroom was constantly clogged (not only the toilet but the sink). We had to checked out earlier as we couldn’t stand it any longer, we switched to another resort that was worth the price (a bit more expensive but high quality). I would suggest they adjust their prices and description to what the hotel actually is, a “nice” hostel. Not worth the price. I highly recommend to stay either at Lio or closer to Las Cabañas.

Focus Rooms was great! it was peaceful and we felt safe and comfortable. i love the filipino breakfast because it's the only breakfast that matters. the staff was friendly and helpful with helping us get around. i do suggest that most hotels have bikes for people who don't want to go too far. the only thing about this particular location is that it's a bit of a walk from the beach but that's honestly a good thing because it's quiet and relaxing. I was in el nido back in 2013 and it was a different time then. I stayed on the beach in a hostel and while it was nice waking up to the ocean, El Nido's gotten a bit too crowded and the nightlife has blown up ever since.

If I could I would not even give this hotel 1 star ! It was such a horrible experience. We got Room nr2 and it had a very bad smell of old smoke and mould. I got dizzy within 5min. When we informed the stuff about it they started to spray airfreshner which made the smell all in all even worse. I told them that I have breathing problems and can't stay here. All rooms (4) where booked and they couldn't give us another room. There solution was to leave and double pay another hotel and they would put our room up and if someone else books it, we would get the money back for the days someone else would have it. We weren't happy with that solution as we don't have the money to double pay another hotel for 3 nights! So we had no choice then to stay...the rooms don't have a TV or Kettle. We left the room door open over night otherwise I couldn't have slept at all. We had already so many mosquitos in our room (as the stuff leaves the door open for cleaning that it didnt matter if we have a few more in the room. The next morning we were hopeful to transfer into another hotel ( as we thought maybe someone will book it) as little as we knew ...We had to stay 3 full nights! We were both really tired during out first nightmare night that we decided to come back and have a little nap, but as they are building more rooms they were renovating all day. Resting during the day impossible. We changed to room nr 1 on that day and we went a bit out as we couldn't rest anyway. Mitch the manager told us that our luggage will be in our new room, when we come back ,so we don't have to worry about that. When we came back the receptionist handed us 2 keys and said very rude that we need to move the luggage ourselves. Which was fine to us,as it was next door. But it all shows how little interest the stuff had to help us with anything! There were stains on the bedding and it smelled like old sweat ( at least room nr 2 was clean ), so we complained again the receptionist just said it's all clean and ignored us.after insisting to come with us and we showed her the dirty bedding she was only talking Tagalog to herself ( I guess she was swearing in front of us ) and changed it eventually. However the room still wasn't clean but the bedding , so we could at least sleep. The breakfast was cold every morning and was very basic. We were soooooo happy to leave after 3 hororr nights! If I could I would give this hotel -10 stars. The only positive thing is that Mitch was friendly and professional and even offered us a discounted tour. However it didn't make up with what our stay was there. Unforntualey it didn't feel like holiday at all. We decided to take this hotel due to the amazing reviews and were really excited, but after staying there we think the reviews must be manipulated or fake . This is an honest and genuine review about this hotel. Don't make the same mistake and ruin your precious holiday and time...

Very mixed feelings about this place. Loved the location and staff! Breakfast was really good, layout is small and cozy.

What's not cozy though, is the constant construction going on around the place, well into the night time. Hard to relax with grinders constantly going off, one night they were grinding untill 2am-3am. You're not informed about this of course, nor is there a disclaimer anywhere about it. I can't complain about the day time work very much as stuff needs to get done, I think everyone could agree but, the night time work is a deal breaker for me.

Second thing I had a issue with was that our room had some mold. Above the vent in the washroom and around the aircon. Our neighbor also complained about mold but it was on the mattress in their room. Now to be fair the mold could have been a previous situation, not really sure. There was for sure mold stains on the bed dressing though so regardless, just to make things look better and make customers feel better about their stay. The sheets should have been replaced.

I will personally not be staying here again when I return, place needs a bit more work before it will be worth it.

I didn't ask for a refund or a credit, and it would have not changed my opinion if I recieved one. They are very accommodating so incase you have concerns or complaints I'm sure they will get you right.

Thanks for the stay and...
