Booked a room here for 9 days, excited for my time in Siargao, which quickly turned into a nightmare. Booked a room with just a fan. We thought no problem as we have stayed in many rooms around the Philippines with just a fan and it’s been fine. When we arrived we knew this was not fit for purpose. The room was a half ceiling / attic room with a mattress on the floor. No shelving, side table or space. NO WINDOW. This came as a shock to me as this was not listed online, as it should be. The room quickly became up bareable and unbreathable. The air was heavy and hot due to no circulation, ventilation or windows and a very small, low roof room. I was finding it hard to breath as I have asthma. We pushed through and tried to bare it for two nights. On both of these nights we had to sleep with our bedroom door open. We saw others do this too. Also it’s listed as having a balcony but the “ balcony” is just the shared hallway / entrance for all rooms. During the two days we forced ourselves to stay out all day and night so we would not have to spend time in the room. Also we had to get changed one at a time. That’s how small it is. After night one, we asked the landlady was there any other rooms available as it was completely unbearable, she told us no. I checked online and saw there was rooms available. After night two we decided to book alternative accommodation because we could not tolerate the heat any longer. Before we told the landlady that we were leaving she approached us and asked up to move rooms in two days time, so she could install air conditioning in the room, and then we could move back into it. We then let her know we were leaving after night two out of nine. She told us we would not be receiving a refund. We asked is it possible for even a partial refund as we would be leaving seven nights in advance. She gave us a bulnt no. She did inform us that they will be putting in the ac and that we could come back when it was installed. I’m not sure why it took our complaint for them to install the ac but I’m glad they have done it. I personally still don’t think the room with be habitable with just ac, it needs a window but I hope for future guests that it makes it habitable. Also do not stay here if you are scared of dogs as they own a pitbull / bully dog, I personally love dogs and was a bit frightened as he was off the lead and was...

We booked a full week at this hostel, hoping for a pleasant experience in Siargao. From the very first night, we realized we had made a terrible mistake. The shower was a nightmare - the water was unbearably foul-smelling, and smelled like sewage. The room was small and bare, barely enough space for a bed, with no basic furniture like a nightstand or shelf. The access to the hostel was impossible, a road full of mud and deep puddles. We approached the owners hoping for a solution, but we received dismissive treatment and a complete rejection. The owner showed us a superficial demonstration of clean water from a bucket, but that didn't change the fact that the shower water was contaminated. In addition, his attitude was aggressive and unpleasant, and we felt threatened. We demanded a refund for the unused nights, but were flatly refused. We paid almost 2000 Peso per night, and received dismal value. We had to leave after just one night, which was also unbearable. I strongly recommend avoiding this hostel. It was a horrible experience, and the owners' behavior was unprofessional and inconsiderate. Don't be tempted to book here, it's a waste of money and causes...

Our three-night, four-day stay provided a comfortable, home-like atmosphere. The owner was exceptionally kind, despite a slight language barrier – possibly he is French. The property was secure, and our room featured a private bathroom, a significant plus.
The location is highly convenient, situated near various establishments along Tourism Road, allowing for easy access to cafes and restaurants on foot. Furthermore, the property is directly adjacent to El Lobo and...
