I recently dined at Hapag, a Filipino restaurant known for its traditional dishes and inviting ambiance. While my overall experience was enjoyable, there were certain aspects that left me with mixed feelings.
Let's start with the positives. The ambiance at Hapag is undeniably charming, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that sets the stage for a pleasant dining experience. The decor and lighting create a cozy feel, making it an inviting place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. However, I agree that there is room for improvement, particularly in terms of seating comfort and perhaps a few subtle enhancements to the decor to elevate the overall dining experience.
As for the food, I found the menu to offer a variety of enticing options. While I enjoyed several of the dishes I tried, the sisig, a Filipino classic, fell short of my expectations. However, I was pleased with the other items I ordered, and the attentive service added to the overall positive experience.
In conclusion, Hapag offers a pleasant dining setting with a menu that has its hits and misses. While the sisig may not have been to my liking, the overall experience was enjoyable. With a few tweaks to the ambiance and perhaps some adjustments to the menu, Hapag has the potential to become an even more noteworthy dining destination.

ย ย ย Read moreAmazing experience at Hapag! We tried Chef Adamโs best sellers, and each dish was like a burst of flavors: The Pork Sisig was incredibly flavorful and had the right amount of sizzle. Lechoล Kawali had that perfect crispy goodness that made it hard to resist. Beef Stroganoff was a surprise, and it turned out to be a delightful addition to the menu. Aglio Olio with shrimp- My daughter loved it so much she could have eaten two bowls had I not stopped her Kare-kare, rich peanut sauce with tender ox tail, tripe and veggies was just mouthwatering. Sweet and sour laps-lapu had that perfect balance of tanginess and sweetness, making it a winner for sure. And to top it all off, the Leche flan and Mais con yelo were the perfect sweet treats to end our meal.
We couldn't get enough of Hapag, so we went back for dinner twice! The food was consistently amazing, and we left each time with satisfied taste buds.
Siargao is a food paradise with a plethora of options, from vegan dishes to pizzas, cocktails, and Mediterranean cuisine. But one thing it was missing was a proper Filipino restaurant. That's where Hapag came in! Ever since it opened in 2022, Siargao became an even more perfect destination for foodies like us. It's like a taste of home away from home. If you ever find yourself on the island, Hapag is a...

The place is super nice that it becomes the appropriate place to accommodate honorable guests visiting the town. CAN ACCOMMODATE LARGE GROUPS.
Food: Not exaggerating but if you're down for a good filipino food, Hapag is the place ๐ค The Chef of Hapag was previously the Head Chef of a renowned buffet restaurant. I would recommend getting Beef Kansi, Sinigang na Pampano, Dinuguan and Pork Sisig. Their serving is very generous. If you would ask the locals there, Hapag is always on top of their list. They also serve different kinds of alcoholic drinks and you can request for a surprise drink from them, so cool! We've tried 9 different mix of drinks and all were good, walang tapon! ๐ฃ Hapag was also featured in CongTv's vlog.
Service: All were accommodating and friendly. Our food was served within the right amount of time. The bartender even recommended drinks that would suit our taste.
Price: It isn't pricey especially if you are in group since their serving is good...
