Read moreThis relatively new restaurant is a highlight for us in General Luna. If you want to fill your stomach with a lot of food, you're in the wrong place here; but if you want to taste excellent "haute cuisine", you've come to the right place. A little off the main road (a short walk) and relatively quiet. The ambience is very pleasant, the lighting unobtrusive and the background music appealing with a very good sound. The waiters are friendly and attractively dressed (matching uniforms), but need a little more training and experience to get the high level of the food. We had beef carpaccio for starters of excellent quality and a dream in terms of taste. The main course was croquetas de gambas al ajillo, which were an explosion of flavor on the palate, and beef steak tartare of the highest quality and just as perfectly seasoned as the side vegetables. It more than flattered my taste buds. Our menu was rounded off with a delicious red wine. The very tasty desserts (cheesecake and crema catalana) rounded it off. The entire menu is not that big yet, and the same goes for the dessert menu, but I love the motto: small but nice. A thoroughly successful evening with a very positive experience and good value for money (in Germany you pay 3-4 times as much for something similar). Thank you Danny, Marc and team for the unforgettable evening.
Read moreI wanted to love this place, but the food was very forgettable. Not bad, just really not good.
Octopus was overcooked, the shrimp paella was overly wet and not very tasty, the beef carpaccio needed more acidity (we added lemon), the chicken special and fine, but none of the main menu items were very good.
Dessert was the crema Catalana, which was too hot and runny. I think they used the broiler on the oven versus a brulee torch. Tastes was OK, not amazing, no citrus, but the warmth ruined the texture for me.
Atmosphere was great. Cocktails were very good. Staff was friendly, but not at all attentive (normal for Philippines).
I wish the food was as good as the atmosphere. A few tweaks would make this a favorite. There are many better restaurants nearby, so I'm not planning on returning for dinner.
