Discover the Charm of Ibiza in the Heart of Siargao: A Culinary Gem

On the idyllic island of Siargao, Philippines, a new culinary gem has emerged, combining the freshness and creativity of Mediterranean cuisine with exquisite local touches. This charming restaurant, evoking the spirit of Ibiza, promises to delight all its visitors with an unparalleled dining experience.

Marc Espino: The Master Behind the Flavors

The soul of this restaurant is undoubtedly Marc Espino, the executive chef. With over 10 years of experience in culinary culture and the food industry, Marc leads the kitchen with a fresh, intuitive, and creative vision. His ability to transform local products into sublime dishes is evident in every bite. Here, you can savor the best ceviche in all of the Philippines, high-quality rice dishes accompanied by an unparalleled shrimp carpaccio, and fresh octopus of the day served with guanciale that will simply leave you speechless.

Service that Flows Like a Symphony

The magic doesn't just happen in the kitchen. Mia Autran, Dani Gomez, and Jordi Torello, together with Marc, co-invested in this new establishment. They ensure that every service flows seamlessly. With warmth, friendliness, and professionalism, these four friends make sure every customer feels at home. Their attention to detail and ability to create a vibrant atmosphere with wonderful cocktails, music, and entertainment make each visit an unforgettable experience.

This relatively new restaurant is a highlight for us in General Luna. If you want to fill your stomach with a lot of food, you're in the wrong place here; but if you want to taste excellent "haute cuisine", you've come to the right place. A little off the main road (a short walk) and relatively quiet. The ambience is very pleasant, the lighting unobtrusive and the background music appealing with a very good sound. The waiters are friendly and attractively dressed (matching uniforms), but need a little more training and experience to get the high level of the food. We had beef carpaccio for starters of excellent quality and a dream in terms of taste. The main course was croquetas de gambas al ajillo, which were an explosion of flavor on the palate, and beef steak tartare of the highest quality and just as perfectly seasoned as the side vegetables. It more than flattered my taste buds. Our menu was rounded off with a delicious red wine. The very tasty desserts (cheesecake and crema catalana) rounded it off. The entire menu is not that big yet, and the same goes for the dessert menu, but I love the motto: small but nice. A thoroughly successful evening with a very positive experience and good value for money (in Germany you pay 3-4 times as much for something similar). Thank you Danny, Marc and team for the unforgettable evening.

I wanted to love this place, but the food was very forgettable. Not bad, just really not good.

Octopus was overcooked, the shrimp paella was overly wet and not very tasty, the beef carpaccio needed more acidity (we added lemon), the chicken special and fine, but none of the main menu items were very good.

Dessert was the crema Catalana, which was too hot and runny. I think they used the broiler on the oven versus a brulee torch. Tastes was OK, not amazing, no citrus, but the warmth ruined the texture for me.

Atmosphere was great. Cocktails were very good. Staff was friendly, but not at all attentive (normal for Philippines).

I wish the food was as good as the atmosphere. A few tweaks would make this a favorite. There are many better restaurants nearby, so I'm not planning on returning for dinner.

Cocktails...

I want to be balanced here, because we didn’t eat - we only had a cocktail. The setting is really lovely and we were very impressed with the design etc. The menu looks great and I’d definitely be interested to try the food. The cocktail however, was a let down. It came extremely quickly, but it wasn’t good if I’m honest. It was less foam and more froth and bubbles (was an amaretto sour). The price was certainly fair and in line with other quality places in the area, but a little work is needed on the execution. I also didn’t understand the need for the glass with a big bump on the bottom - maybe it’s trendy, but I didn’t like it. Again - trying to to be balanced, I will certainly return to try the food and will leave an updated review

Could have been amazing but ended up being quite disappointing. Cocktails and food were good for most of it (croquetas, pork belly and truffle rigatoni) but portions are small, sides are not included and only potatoes ships are available. What really spoiled the diner was the way staff pushed us to the exit. I understand you want to close at 11pm but part of the job is to let customers eat and finish their food at least before you repeatedly tell them that the restaurant closed. Although they were polite, at 10:55pm the waiters already had told us 4 times that they were closing. So for our last night and 8,000 php spent, we were expecting better 😅
