This morning we visit to this restaurant, hoping to buy some food for two extremely malnourished dogs we. We were desperate to help them, and since rice is gentle on their stomachs, we asked if we could purchase some cooked rice from the restaurant.
To our surprise and disappointment, instead of showing empathy or at least trying to understand our situation, they rudely responded by asking how many portions we wanted. We explained that it was for the dogs, and without any hesitation, they bluntly told us to leave and find somewhere else to go.
Seriously, who does this? We were trying to do a kind and compassionate act, and their cold-hearted response left us speechless. It's disheartening to encounter such a lack of empathy and understanding, especially when we were willing to pay for the food.
Needless to say, we left the restaurant feeling frustrated and upset. We can't comprehend why a business wouldn't seize the opportunity to show kindness and support a good cause, even if it meant selling food for animals in need.
In the end, we managed to find another place that was more than willing to help us. It's a shame that this restaurant missed out on a chance to make a positive impact and be part of a compassionate community.
For those looking to support businesses that care about animals and their well-being, I would advise seeking out places with a more compassionate and understanding attitude. This restaurant, unfortunately, did not meet those...
Read moreI’m sorry but this place sucked to the highest level.I would rate it 0 star. Terrible food and service. We came on 8/2/23 around 5pm with party of 11 expecting to get dinner with the whole family after a land tour around Siargao but the food on each container was from lunch - which they never said. I went to the use the bathroom and you would not want to visit, imagine all those workers using that bathroom and see the very unsanitary condition, not to mention that the food they are cooking was on the side near the bathroom plus the hands of the workers preparing the food. So the food we got was stale and was asked to take a picture of what you ordered and price is based on the picture you took. no basis on how much is viand costs . So after some of us ante the stale food they served ( I did not touch the pasta coz it was spoiled) , the dinner hot food came out and very upsetting because now they were serving the fresh hot food. Very deceiving to customers and the unsatisfactory taste and texture of the food from lunch. Please try to visit the bathroom first before you try to order your plate meal. Not to mention the flies flying around while...
Read moreFeeling sad about writing this review, but I feel it should be brought to attention.
My partner and I were happy find this place as we’re always looking to enjoy the local dining experience. Overall we really liked the food and thought it was great for the price. BUT… in the end we were highly disappointed.
For context: the idea is to choose your “ulam”, take a photo, and present that photo when you go to the cashier to pay.
The first photo is mine, and the second is my husbands. As you can see, we got similar amounts of food.
When going to pay, I wanted to see if they would treat my husband differently (he’s American and I’m Filipina) so I lined up before him and the lady charged me 280pesos…. Sadly, when my husband when to pay , they charged him 490pesos.
Of course he didn’t bargain or complain since he thinks it would be ridiculous to bargain for food, but I was extremely disappointed at the opportunity they took to upcharge him… and for what ? For being foreign? It’s quite sad. In the end, price doesn’t matter, but principle does.
So that is what ruined our...
