I booked/paid online but when I arrived at the hotel, the guard called the Manager (I think the name is Lhen), who happened to be the receptionist, said no booking was sent to them. She did not even go downstairs to check.||So I showed the guard my booking and called again the Manager. Coincidentally, the Manager was about to go home (probably 8PM) and when I was showing her my booking, she just told me to walk to the next branch (2 blocks away) to see if I was booked there. She did not even bother checking my booking details. She was in a hurry.||I walked to the next branch and they claimed that their branch name is Osmeña and not Casino St which was indicated on my booking. The security guards called their hotline to ask and they said I was really booked in Casino St. So I went back. I was tired after training and then this?||The Manager left already so I spoke to the condo admin. They were very helpful and called the condo owner though their decision was to not accomodate me which was understandable as there was no booking sent by RedDoorz. They suggested that I just call Travelbook.||Travelbook told me my booking was confirmed and helped me contact RedDoorz. Travelbook had been really helpful and willing to look for another hotel for me. Then a man from RD called me and apologized that they failed to send my booking details. The problem was, the condo was already fully-booked except for the executive suite who happened to be available only at that night. I booked for 2 nights and told them I will have a hard time if they transfer me the next day as I have training again. To cut the story short, they still gave me the executive room for 2 nights after probably 3 hours of waiting and calling them back several times.||I met again the Manager the next day and she was not really nice to speak with. Maybe because I don't look like someone who can afford a hotel room.||She asked for a valid ID and I showed her my company ID. She said she needs a valid ID so I told her my company ID was all I have, though I had my passport but wouldn't tell her. Revenge time it is! Idk how long she has been working but a company ID is one of the valid IDs in our country and she doesn't know that? She also said she doesn't know Travelbook, only Agoda and Expedia, so maybe she needs to know the list of travel agencies who promote and sell their business. She did not even give me the WIFI password but entered it herself on my phone. As if I have plans of ruining their network. What would I get if I did? She even repeated several times that I'll pay higher fine if I smoke within the hotel even after telling her that I don't smoke. I was really annoyed but at the same time, her arrogance just shows how ignorant she is and it was a bit funny too. Hahaha!||Some of the staff told me they often encounter this situation in RedDoorz @ Casino St. Seems like they always over-book. I will never ever go back nor book any RedDoorz or even recommend it to anyone.||Kudos...
Read moreThis hotel is located in a bad part of Makati. You would need to walk few min to the larger cross-street to hail a cab. The rooms are nice though and there is wifi. But when you walk in the lobby (which is a small door), you wouldn't think this is a hotel. More like a an entrance to an old apartment building. The hotel is actually located on 5th floor. There is a common area and then there are about 7 or 8 rooms. ||||There is no front desk service after certain time (9 pm or so). I was told there no guest would be allowed after 10 pm. Since my room allows for 2 adults, I dunno why they have this strict rule when this place is not conveniently located to begin with. I asked to make sure this was true, and was told by reception that no guest after 10 pm. ||||If you are a single guy then this rule is terrible. I like to party in Manila and almost every hotel in Manila allows you to bring a guest no matter what time it is. When I came back around 9 pm to verify if I can bring a guest, the rude security guard to me no guest after 10 pm, no exceptions. So I did not bother to call my friend to come over. So if you like massages, they can not come to this "hotel" either. Its not really an hotel as it doesn't really have many amenities. Its not one of those newer condotels either. Just an old apartment building that they renovated the 5th floor into few nice rooms. So I checked out, I rather eat the fee than subject to their stupid rules. Then I called Agoda to complain. Agoda contacted them and security guard lies and claims he never told me that and that I did not have a guest. Well, if I'm told already by reception and again by security guard, why would I bring a guest over and embarrass the guest? Read moreThe place is cozy, has a great ambiance for relaxation. The place i quite and spacious. A family friendly place unlike in other RedDoorz we've been at. Kids can run and play inside the room without bothering neighbor guests.. however theres a bit concern that i think the property would check on this, we've been to other branches of reddoorz, they provides toiletries upon check in.. also 2 complimentary water but this brnch doesnt provide any complimeny water. also other branch would approach around 11am if we'd like to makeup the room or change towels or linens but not in this branch., theres no electric kettle, television is big but the cable reception is bad. the good thing is the wifi is fast and no deadspot within the floor.. and what really gets my attention was.. we went out twice and we left the ac open. when we get back the ac. was closed, i just think that we might accidentally put in on a timer.. but the 2nd time we went out left the ac open but this time i made sure that its not on a timer.. we got back and surprisingly that ac was closed. my thoughts on this was the staff has an access to the rooms and can go in and out if the guests went out. based on what they told me once i told them about this is its not the first time that this happend, but their also stands saying that not even one them will do that.
