Found a gem in the island, I was lookin for a real coffee kick in the mornin and luckily google brought me to the right place.
Just facing the sea, a small path way from the beach will lead you to a cozy cafe “DevoZen”
What are the odds finding out they use the same coffee beans as we do, so another plus points.
Even the barista at that day is their massage therapist , the coffee was equally amazing.
Its a very new cafe ,however if you type best coffee in Malapascua it will be on top page.
The ambiance is cozy , there is a peek to the beach , location is very ideal next to Devocean Dive shop, in Bounty beach.
If you have enough time to chill and want to relax more ,they have a massage place which I wanna try next time.
I met the owner who is very attentive and even with his hectic schedule was able to allocate time to chat with me.
Its really good to know that owners is back to business.
Staff are friendly, prices is fair and affordable.
Surroundings is clean with sea breeze feels.
They also have items for swimming feel...
Read moreI was looking for some nice aircon cafe and i was surprised that everytime i googled cafe or restaurant, this place popped up. So I thought it must be that good. Well, it wasn't. I am guessing they pay a lot for Google ads to be on top, and that translates to really high prices. Anyway, the pictures are kind of misleading, because there is a small shop, where you order (fan, no aircon) and then you go sit outside, which in the afternoon heat might be hard. Overall the cafe is the same as any other "cafe" on the island (nothing remarkable), but what shocked me were the prices. Fresh mango shake (3dcl) is 300php/ 5euro - most i ever paid in philippines. Then I had a tuna melt, which was very minimalistic - tuna, mayo, sriracha and traces of chese for 200php/ 3.50euro. I am not coming...
Read moreI was recommended by a friend to visit Devozen during my stay in Malapascua. Because of the high words, i put a lot of expectation to the place. However, it didn’t meet my expectations. The cafe is located inside the hotel with no a/c or fan in the cafe, which is fine since it’s on the island. However, the air-flow was really bad that i felt like it stored all the heat inside the place. I ordered one of the recommend menu at the counter (it’s a milk base coffee with flavor i cant recall the name), the coffee was too sweet even though i already put on the note to make it less sweet. But my friends ordered iced americano, and they enjoyed it. So, i recommend to just go with a...
