Happy Homestay offers an authentic and memorable experience, perfectly balancing comfort, affordability, and scenic beauty. From the moment we arrived, the peaceful ambiance was evident. Just steps away from a quiet beach, the location is ideal for those seeking a serene escape from the crowded areas.
The rooms are impressively spacious and thoughtfully designed for both families and couples. Our room featured two queen-size beds, ample cabinet space, a functioning television, and a well-equipped kitchen complete with a working stove and utensils. The clean and well-maintained bathroom further added to the overall comfort. One of the highlights was the daily gesture of leaving pandesal on our doorstep each morning, which felt like a warm and personal touch.
For those who enjoy cooking their own meals, the convenience of nearby wet markets allowed us to prepare fresh meals with locally-sourced ingredients. The homestay is well-suited for travelers on a budget, offering the freedom to manage meals without the need to dine out constantly.
The beach in front of Happy Homestay might not have the powdery white sand of more famous spots like Station 1 to 3, but it compensates with unparalleled tranquility and charm. Whether you’re looking to unwind with a morning coffee while gazing at the ocean or enjoy a sunset walk, the peace and solitude are unbeatable. The area isn’t crowded, making it perfect for both intimate couple getaways and large family gatherings.
The hosts are incredibly accommodating, even assisting us with transport arrangements during checkout. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made our stay even more special.
Overall, our stay at Happy Homestay was relaxing and enjoyable. The combination of thoughtful service, a cozy environment, and a beautiful location makes it a place we’ll definitely return to. For anyone seeking a quiet, budget-friendly retreat with the comforts of home, this is an...
Read moreI don't know what the hype is all about, but the host (Marcus) was not as welcoming as the reviews say he was. The communication before the full payment was good. After all was paid, the communication ceased. I even expressed my concern over a service I requested, which I needed to fully pay in advance, and it was just shrugged away without even an apology. This was the Boodle Fight, which we requested for 12 pm and received stone cold food at 2 pm.
All the FF&Es were in very poor condition and was scary to even touch as they might just fall off, like faucets, leaking pipes, bidet etc. Despite arriving on Christmas eve, there was not even a hint of welcome or greeting from Marcus. We had no water supply every morning and my brother-in-law had to go with the caretaker and fix it. The linen had a very bad odor and were not changed until told to do so. Its not like we stayed a night or two. We were 10 guests and stayed for 6 nights and rented almost the entire villa. Yet nothing from the so called 'very good' host. The property did not even provide basic provisions like candles and umbrellas, as we had to stay a night without electricity due to the heavy rain.
The good part of this stay was only the location. The place was serene and clam, minus the stormy wind. Apart from that, I don't believe this place is...
Read moreI am not sure what the hype is all about. Reviews say that the host was great. In fact, the host (Marcus) did not even have the courtesy to check on us as we arrived on Christmas eve. No welcome, no greeting, nothing. The communication before the payment was fine. Once the full amount was paid, nothing at all. I even expressed my dissatisfaction over a service I was asked to pay for in advance, but instead of an apology, the delay in the service (Boodle Fight) was being justified. We requested for it at 12 pm and got stone cold food at 2 pm. Terrible reception and professionalism by Marcus..||The villa itself was falling apart. All FF&E were in poor condition. Delicate and scary to use as it may just fall apart, like faucets, leaking pipes. Every morning, we had no water. My brother-in-law had to call the care taker and go and fix the the pipe outside the villa that supplied water. I am sure Marcus did not even want to know about this. I wanted to take pictures of all that, but I am sure Marcus is already aware.||The only best part of this stay was the location. Very serene and calm, not counting the stormy wind. The caretaker, Analyn and her husband were nice. They helped with what they could. The family room upstairs was still in better condition than the double room downstairs which was in...
