Mountain View Cottages - Camiguin — Hotel in Mambajao

I gotta say right away that i love this place so much. No regrets at all for choosing this place. Booked this place more or less a month prior to our travel date in August 2018. If my partner and I are ever going back to Camiguin, with no second thought, we will stay there again. And when our friends asked us which place is best to stay for overnight or two in Camiguin, one hundred percent or even more, we are recommending this place .||Why? Here are the reasons why:||-The place first of all is reasonably priced. Not expensive but very affordable. ||-Second, this place is very quiet, clean, peaceful, decent, safe and beautiful. || * The room has fridge, aircon and even ceiling fan, a tv with cable and maany choices of channels international and local. || * The place is fully equipped with kitchen utensils and kitchen needs like pan, kettle, stove, and even dishwashing liquid and sponge that are new and never been used. And obviously, a kitchen isnt a kitchen without a sink. Their sink is well-spaced too. Believe it or not, i hand washed our clothes and they have clothes-line outside your own cottage that u can safely hang until they dry up. It feels like home. And we love it. :-)|| * Has a free big gallon of drinking water even good enough for a week stay.|| * The shower has hot and warm. Toilet has its bidet. Of course they have dipper (tabo) and pail (balde) too. And extra little working sink too. The toilet is very clean too. || * There were towels for me and my partner. There were soaps and shampoo too.|| *And , there was a decent table too with three decent chairs as well right very near the kitchen.|| * The place has space where you can hang your clothes. Free to use their hangers too.|| Not two not three but more hangers. ||-Third is, the place is just walking distance to a good place to dine and enjoy live music like Alex's. We recomend that restobar too. And the place across it, i forgot the name, there's a breakfast buffet.||-Fourth and not the least, they have WI-FI. Fast wifi. Very convenient use most especially when you want to google places and directions for the nxt day's activities while in Camiguin.||-Fifth, the caretakers are very polite, friendly, and prompt to answer whenever you have questions by text, call or personal.||-Sixth, not more than ten meters away from the place's main gate, is a sari-sari store which sells many stuff u might unexpectedly need like powder detergent, in my case, because i hand washed our clothes. The place by the way also provides laundry service. Very affordable too. Though I jst washed our own because it wasnt many anyway.||-Seventh, the place helps you get transportation to tour the island, or to get you to the port.||Plenty of reasons why i love this place. Call or text their number listed in this website or on their fb account, 'coz they are very responsive and accomodating.||We originally booked two nights only but booked another night extra without no hassle. We just had to to book additional night because our original sched in camiguin wasnt enough we realized. But no worries because the rent per night is very affordable and this place felt like our own home.||By the way, this place is just a walking distance, (if you really would like to walk) tto the port going to the White Island. I highly recommend Mountain View Cottages. Marge and Jane are so friendly and helpful, one night Jane helped us in our hour of need to start our BBQ. If you stay here you can rent a motor bike for 250P much less than anywhere else, the speedo even works which doesn't happen very often in the Philipines.|There are 5 or 6 cottages, each in its own little garden with lots of beautiful plants. There is a central office where you can buy a couple of beers, with a bird cage next to it with beautiful budgies and love birds, there is also a BBQ/Sink next to it (with light for a night time BBQ).|The cottages are perfectly equipped for you to do your own cooking too. They have been put together by someone who has travelled and knows exactly what you need. Including American TV satellite (with lots of movies). |Dining table|Fridge freezer|Bed side table|Shelf/wardrobe|Bins|1st 5 gallon water is free|Cooking pots, pans, utensils|Gas hob|Good wifi|AC/Fan|Hot and cold shower|Mesh on windows that open|Front porch with bench and table outside|Everything is immaculately clean.|The complex has gates for security which isn't needed. The area is really quiet (possibly one chicken). The complex is 100m from the main road opposite Northern Lights restaurant. There is a small local market within half a mile |I didn't initially book this place because of the online pictures which do not do this place justice, I visited here when I arrived and snapped it up and stayed 5 nights.|Some rooms have a separate kitchen. All in all this place is amazing value, we looked at tiny horrible dirty rooms next to the sea that wanted more money than...

-a very nice landscape, clean, cozy and quiet....|As we arrived in camiguin island, I was a bit worried on my booking coz it might end up being cancelled for we arrived later than we expected. A pack of tourists barging to camguin for a ling weekened. |As we start our journey to find this place, people here are so entertaining that they really find time to tell you the directions which way to go.||As we arrived, here in Mountain View Cottages, its not like that I expected as well since, its beyond or exceeded my thinkin... a true vast of tranquility, away from all the noise from the city, cottages are too big to accomodate my family (9pax) and really it was a nice landscape and too clean to be true. Staffs are welcoming in the since that they are worried also we might end up cancelling our booking since they already prepared everything. One of the staff their really helped us a lot. KAT, if im not wrong, who happened the caretaker and maintaining everything within the vicinity.. she is so helpful in terms of service.. kudos to this lady. A thank you for all the hospitality Mountain View Cottages. We will definitely be back...|| Just a bit suggestion, eventhough the island itself is secured and safe all the time, they could add up their security personel...
