I booked a room for four people by contacting the number displayed on their Facebook page. I paid 1700 pesos per night for a room that was conveniently located and well-appointed. Considering the value for money, it was definitely worth the cost.
Upon booking, I paid a reservation fee via Gcash. The check-in process was smooth. The reception booth was empty, but I could simply press a button to get their attention. The staff verified our booking and asked for the remaining balance. Then, they led us to our cottage.
The room was straightforward and air-conditioned. There was a small terrace where we could relax. They provided us with a towel, but no toiletries were given. The TV worked via cable, but the quality was not great. There was Wi-Fi, but it wasnât the fastest, but it was sufficient for checking social media. The water pressure was good, but the showerhead needed replacement. There was no hot/cold shower option, as the showerhead was broken. There's no bidet as well. Overall, the comfort room was okay.
The only downside was the air conditioning, which wasnât enough to cool the room, even when set to the proper mode and at 16 degrees Celsius. Also, they are not as responsive via text or even their fb page, it is always best to call the number reflected on their page.

Read moreOn the morning of our check-in, we were informed that we would be transferred to their sister accommodation. We were told it was nearby, so we initially agreed. However, upon checking, we found it to be quite far and not easily accessible. The reason given for the transfer was that the original property was âfully booked,â which was confusing as we had made our reservation months in advance.
To our surprise, when we visited the original accommodation, there were still available rooms, and we were eventually able to check in.
We hope that moving forward, they avoid this kind of business practice, as it causes unnecessary inconvenience to guests. If the property had truly been fully booked, they could have offered the sister accommodation as an option during the booking process or at least informed us well in advanceârather than at the last minute and presenting it as the only choice.
On the brighter note, the room was clean and air conditioning is good. Location is also ideal as it is near restaurant and the port to...
Read morePaggia Cottages, Camiguin: A Mixed Experience My stay at Paggia Cottages in Camiguin presented several challenges. The service was notably poor, characterized by a distinct lack of hospitality; simple requests were often met with rudeness and what felt like dismissive laughter. Basic amenities such as towels, toilet paper, and even water were frequently unavailable, and there was a complete absence of a welcoming demeanor from the staff. The accommodations themselves were problematic. The rooms proved to be exceptionally noisy, with constant disturbances from street dogs and motorbikes making it difficult to rest. While the air conditioning functioned adequately, the bathrooms were notably basic, lacking essential items like soap and toilet paper. Regarding location, Paggia Cottages is not ideally situated for easy access to local attractions; a mode of transport is generally required to reach desired destinations. This made independent exploration somewhat...
