After a morning on White Island, we stopped by CheckPoint for lunch. This restaurant is located on the second floor and is open to the ocean breeze which felt AMAZING. Being able to eat outdoors is always one of my favorites. The food was pretty good. We got lechon kawali appetizer which was probably the best thing we had here. I wanted beef kare kare but they didn't have any beef so I settled for seafood kare kare. It was OK, but not sure if seafood works well for it. My husband got the fried chicken. It was good but didn't have a lot of meat on it. Service was actually decent. Very friendly waitresses. Overall this is a good place to stop by especially after visiting White Island. And the price was worth the food.

Checkpoint Camiguin wasn't that exciting place as we have seen on socmed. We were quite diasppointed that the vibe didn't live up to our expectations. Nevertheless we gave it a try. There's a barbecue place at the ground floor, and there are some stores surrounding the dining area selling snacks, groceries and other items like slippers, shirts, etc.. We were led to the restaurant at the 2nd floor where we ordered our dinner. The food wasn't bad, though it didn't really impress us that much. We waited for a few minutes before our orders were served. The service was quite ok. The staff were courteous and accommodating.

One of the best family restaurants we ate at. We ordered Combo A and added 2 more platters of rice and fried chicken. The combo have enough food for 8 people and everything was delicious. It tasted like homecooked meal. The staff are also very kind, friendly and quick to feed a hungry family. No wonder this place was recommended to us by the locals at the the tourism office.

Wow, what a shame. I came here in 2022 and had a wonderful evening. I came back in 2025 and was left really disappointed.

We ordered the beef steak, Buffalo wings and Kinilaw.

When the food arrived, only the beef steak and Buffalo wings arrived and they said the kinilaw would come.

25 minutes after we decided to leave as the kinilaw just did not come.

To add insult to injury, another table who ordered after us (a large party) were getting served kinilaw.

When we went to pay I did try to complain but the waiter had nothing but a smug face on her and we didn’t even get an apology.

What happened here guys? You really let yourself down.

The waiters looked like they just did not want to be there and uninterested in anything.

We walked past your restaurant the past 4 nights before and there was not a person in there. We went tonight when there were a few and it seems like you can’t handle the smallest amount of pressure.

You need to do better or you will soon be the restaurant...

This was a wonderful experience all the way through from start to finish. The calamares were FRESH, not frozen, with a nicely seasoned breading that had a little zing. It would have gone well with lots of different sauces, but the Filipino standard is a disappointing blend of ketchup and mayonnaise. We avoided the sauce and chowed those rings down quickly.

Their pizza was surprisingly fantastic. The crust was thin, very crisp, and the cheese was melted perfectly around the pepperoni and mushrooms. I did notice quickly that it was more of a beef pepperoni instead of the traditional pork, but it still tasted very good.

The people there were absolutely wonderful, helpful, and smiling the whole time with every customer. This is a great place you MUST check out if you're...
