My wife ordered their BBQ ribs, which were very tender and tasty. Filipinos can definitely throw on a good BBQ but the fries were very bland.
I ordered the Italian Sausage Penne pasta. It was badly under-cooked and hard. The menu did not specify that the sausage was very spicy, so it came as a surprise. The sausage was dissolved into small crumbles, which is NOT normal for that dish, so it was also quite disappointing.
The real killer for this place is that it sits right next to a videoke bar, so you can hear the horrific screeching of every drunk who thinks they are Celine Dion or (even worse) Air Supply. Althought the restaurant itself is quite beautiful, I could not hear my wife speaking right next to me because of the decibel level of the videoke machine and the sheer horror coming from...whatever...was killing the microphone.

Read moreImmensely understaffed - only 1 server was at the second floor serving 5 tables. We felt Kuya’s stress level so we didn’t bother him too much.
It was super windy to the point that the other table’s sprite in can flew to the ground (yes, even with the soda inside). They could’ve pulled down the bamboo curtains to prevent this.
We ordered seafood marinara, prosciutto crudo and chicken burger for dinner. I had my doubts in the seafood marinara because the mussels and squid had a weird taste. The following morning, I experienced a bad case of diarrhea, hindering me from going up from bed, supposedly to go to the white island sunrise date that we had planned for our last day. 🥲

Read moreTook so long to serve even when there were few customers but nonetheless i enjoyed our lunch here. Init but okay. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is pretty. Must be nice at night at as well. Sinigang was definitely better than checkpoint (sorry, had to point this out cs we regret not going straight here on our first lunch when we arrived and price difference isnt much) but if you like to have that very local island vibe checkpoint is definitely it! But to us we wouldve preferred eating here straight up cos like i said, food were affordable.
The ates were nice and accommodating.
They sell the famous sabroso tablea, shouldve bought here cos i couldn’t find elsewhere but too far from our...
