I love speakeasy style bars, I love that Hyde Manila is hidden away on the basement floor of Manila Prince Hotel on Marcelino Street. It’s so discreet, it can take a while to spot the entrance (which is an actual wardrobe) as you actually get inside the wardrobe with hanging clothes. Inside, the decor is equally stripped down, with a forest look – concrete, bare wood and pillars in muted grey-white and green shades. Once you’ve navigated your way in, you’re left with a quirky dimly-lit cocktail bar. The concept is cool – the music isn’t loud, seating is comfortable and service friendly. They have an extensive selection, with its array of classic and premium signature cocktails. I super enjoyed their classic Mojito, combined with lots of fresh mint and soda, they maintained the renowned refreshing taste. Don’t miss this drink if you are fond of the sweet herbaceous notes. Let me add that lime reached another dimension once the mixologist perfected the fresh lime juice and zesty wedges additions.
One can have some nibbles to share, or light local or heavier western dishes. You’ll even find nachos, fish & chips, and chicken wings. Hyde Manila is definitely the place to go when painting the town red or simply a place to...

June 6 being the Eid Al Adha holiday, we decided to finally do an Intramuros Food and Historic Churches exploration day.
Unfortunately it rained the whole afternoon so we just stayed put at Manila Prince Hotel for their good food and HYDE Manila's pocket friendly happy hour.🍹
GOOD: As a speakeasy bar, HYDE Manila has one of the most adventurous entrances. Very dramatic. The crew and mixologists led by (Ms) Russel were well poised... this is a hotel bar after all, and ready to serve. Patrick assigned to our table was well versed in cocktail mixes. Enjoyed his recommendation...the Million Dollar cocktail. Heavy gin pour so i was buzzed and happy shortly.😬😎. The dim ambiance coupled with curated instrumental playlist encourages one to show down and unwind. Happy hour deal on classic cocktails was a steal compared to other speakeasy bars.
COULD BE IMPROVED: Wish their Happy Hour deal extends to their Signature Cocktails even up...
Read moreThe first thing that struck me was the extensive drink menu that caters to every taste. Whether you're a cocktail connoisseur or prefer a classic beer, they have something for everyone. What truly impressed me was the quality of their concoctions - expertly crafted by their talented bartenders who are masters of their craft.
The prices here are incredibly reasonable, with most drinks falling within the 400-600 peso range. It's refreshing to find a place that offers top-notch beverages without the hefty price tag often associated with city center bars.
The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, making it perfect for both intimate conversations with friends or letting loose on the dance floor. The music selection adds to the vibe, keeping the energy levels high...
