Tim Horton's PH in general serves good coffee (even without sugar with just the creamer).
This branch in particular... Great location for your Sunday leisurely morning coffee and breakfast if you happen to be in the old Manila area. Accessible for nearby schools like ADU. It's along UN Avenue corner San Marcelino street (you can't miss it, it's open 24hrs a day). Usually isn't filled during Sunday mornings, so it's a good place to chill, service is at par with other Tim Horton's in the Philippines. No Wifi / news paper limited (bring your own)
For folks with cars, its very accessible due to its proximity to the pay parking at the back (personal estimate it can support ~50 cars at one time).
Tip: Haven't parked here during the weekdays, but during the weekends, if you're just passing through to get your morning coffee, the parking fee is waved if you (1) purchase something of a certain amount and (2) left after a certain amount of time. Kindly check at the parking entrance (as this requirements...
Read moreI was very displeased to enjoy my coffee at this Tim Horton’s branch as they lied to me.
I initially asked the staff to turn down the temperature of their aircon as it is hot inside and I had to use a fan. However, they told me that the aircon was broken.
Staff lied to me saying that their aircon was broken and they couldn’t do anything about it. I instantly knew this was a lie because a group 6 came in then the aircon magically worked as I experienced the cold breeze as I am about to finish drinking my coffee.
I was under the impression that all Tim Horton’s branches have ice-cold aircon because of the supeb atmosphere I experienced in SM San Lazaro. I was very disappointed when this was not the case.
I actually frequent this place every week during Thursdays and Sundays for the ONLY reason of expecting ice-cold aircon.
Because of this, I’m now relaxing in a different coffee shop every week that has a cold and inviting atmosphere which is in...
Read moreAffordable coffee and pastries. I love that you could get a medium regular coffee for only PhP80! Also ordered their frappe which is not sickeningly sweet, and bagel with cream cheese. They have a wide selection of donuts, wraps and bagels. Get a combo meal for as low as PhP220. Love the lightness of their eclair. A box of 6 of these (and other custom donuts) are a steal at PhP255.
One thing they could definitely improve on: placement of seats. Place gets packed with people. There aren't enough seats inside (especially when inconsiderate folks place their laptops and bags on top of the table, occupying what should be for other dine-in customers) and you wouldn't want to sit outside (area is polluted due to trucks. It is the sidewalk of a busy street). They might also want to consider placing the cream cheese on the side instead of spreading it (though maybe you could ask for it + saves...
