Formosa Condotel Subic — Hotel in Olongapo

The place is nice. We stayed in 1 room with 2 bedrooms. It is a big room with kitchen and couch. Balcony is also big with nice view of the area. Location is just perfect. Walking distance to convenient stores, mall and beach side restaurants. ||||However, I booked a different room via Agoda and they told me that that room is no longer available that's why we were transferred to another one. Also, they don't have a CAR PARK which stresses us out and the room doesn't have a coffee maker (We still went outside for a cup of coffee) and basic necessities like toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner. TIP: BRING YOUR OWN.||||During our stay, our cable TV is not working and terribly they also don't have a maintenance person that time so they can't fix it. They also didn't provide us with bath towels so when we went to the reception to request for a towel, they said "the hotel is fully booked so no more towels". DISAPPOINTING.||||I hope this will bring attention to the management to improve...

I really don't know how this place got bad reviews. People expecting 5-star service in a 2-star hotel. Yes, parking isn't great. Yes, it's kind of outdated (it's an older building). Yes, the staff isn't the best. Yes, there isn't a coffee maker, free toothbrush/tooth paste, etc. like most hotels. However, this place was very well priced, roomy, and in a great location. It has all the basic necessities I needed: Decent beds, television, and a full kitchen. Very similar to what you'd get in a Marriott Residence Inn or a Hilton Homewood Suites. I stayed at this hotel for about 10 days and booked another 10 for my mother who stayed behind. I'd definitely come back again when I visit...

Enjoyed the friendly check inn process (reception on 3rd floor). The room is very spacious with a dressing room, bed room, living room (with sofa that can accommodate others), kitchen (ref but no cooking stove), dining table. Air con in the bed and living room (worked well). CR spacious and clean. I will return here again though it is not luxury it is good clean and affordable...
