Mango’s is what I would call an all around, everything you need kind of place. They have a hotel, restaurant, night club & dive center all in one location. So let’s start with the hotel. I wouldn’t call it a “Family” oriented place. But I have seen families there. Most customers are in town on business, government contractors or Mariners.

The rooms in the hotel are what I would call average for the area. Roomy with very firm beds typical of almost anywhere in Asia. Very clean. Decent AirCon. Hot water and mini fridge. Pricing is also average. You pay more and get less when you are on the beach. But, you ARE on the beach. They did just build 4 or 5 new suites upstairs facing the water that are supposedly very nice. Never stayed in one so I cannot comment. They run around 5,000php or $100 USD/night. For that price I would imagine you can get a much nicer room in a much nicer hotel.

Restaurant: The best pizza Barretto. Amazing "Full English" breakfast (My favorite). Very good steaks. Run by an Ausie, you can even get Vegimite and HP sauce is ever present. The service is always good. Dining area is all “Outside” so you may have to shoo away the occasional fly. The view of the water and the boats is always nice. I have eaten there on at least a half a dozen occasions.

If you are into scuba diving they have some of the best dive masters in Subic. A very good boat Captain and crew. The crew set up my gear for me. They also have loads of rental gear from Aqualung for those who do not have their own.

They have a mascot as well. An adorable Pug named "Pangit". Translated means, "Ugly". He is very sweet and very social. But they let him piss and crap wherever he wants so don’t set your bag on the floor next to him. He is often seen in the club being spoiled by the girls that work there. He is always at breakfast lying on the back deck.

I’ve been going to Mango’s for about 4 years now. My job has me in the area a couple of times a year. It is clean, well kept and a fantastic staff. I...

Room:We stayed in room 8 Beachfront balcony room the first week of July 2022, the room is huge like promised but feels very empty. 1 television worked in the bedroom instead of 2 (1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom) obviosuly with restaurants and establishments left and right in subic freeport when the night is on, you can hear very clearly the noise from the neighboiring businesses so if you dont want noise, book yourself airbnb.||||Food: No complaints on food, great big american portions, price is ok.||||General info: Hospitality of the staff can be better or maybe a Welcome courtesy from the owner will never hurt coz these things adds up to the full experience of staying in a resort like MAngos. ||||The sea overlooking MAngos is just a disaster, in the early morning, all the trash are floating in the bachwalk area, the locals are just there to walk pass by all the trash, i find it sad that both left and right side neighbors of Mangos are daily cleaning there are of the beachwalk and i have never seen 1 person from Mangos to clean their beachfront area which is very sad, in the afternoon, cloudy brownish sea that is totally not inviting at all, at night its high water and all the trash i guess is back in the bottom of the ocean. ||||I do hope the government or the residence of Subic makes a Serious Clean Up in their beach area there coz this is i guess 80 percent of Tourism in Subic. I will count in the next 10 years no establishment gonna survive subic een the Inflatable Island if this continues. ||||To sum it up, we will never go back in Subic, we have the experience and it was a depressing one. Me and my husband wre NELOS scuba divers and my husband did 2 dives with Mangos and it was also not the best experience, if you want to dive in the Philippines i strongly suggest go to Anilao, Batangas instead, its world renowned in Macro diving and remember, do not messed up our seas and do not step on corals to have a perfect...

Mangos is a simple Filipino-style beachfront resort that is only steps to the water and has phenomenal staff!! The accommodations were clean and there were no bugs anywhere in the facility. I am an American female with a Filipino mindset, so I expected to see big water bugs/cockroaches but there were NONE. The Beachfront Suite we stayed in was a nice size with a separate living room and bedroom. The shower had hot water as well as the sink. There was an entire new jug of water on the water dispenser and it dispensed hot and cold water. There was a small fridge stocked with some drinks that could be purchased. The bed was pretty comfortable and definitely clean. Even the top blanket smelled freshly laundered, as well as the towels. The floor was so clean you could have eaten off of it!! There is a lack of parking spaces but the staff went out of their way to make space for our vehicle. The restaurant menu is extensive with Thai, American, German, Israeli, Japanese, Filipino, and almost any type of food you could want and it is ALL delicious, including desserts and coffee. The portions are huge so the price may be more than your usual Filipino pricing but this is a resort and these are American portions. Our suite #9 was over the bar area and customers can get loud BUT there are signs posted reminding patrons to keep quiet after 10pm. I traveled with my sound machine and never heard anything after going to bed. There was a rip in the living room sofa that needs repair, but who can complain when there is a magical view of Subic Bay from the living room and balcony. Even as wonderful as the facility is, its best asset is the staff! They were friendly, welcoming, accommodating and attentive. Each one contributed something unique to make our stay special. They are phenomenal! We will...

The restaurant in Mangos is a great place. My first trip to The Philippines everyone said for a good steak, go to Texas Joes… well let me tell you something… they were wrong!! If you want an overpriced steak sure TJ’s it is… The staff at Mangos is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the steak is better than that other place!! Plus, the are accommodating here… I love Salmon, but hate nuts in my food… so when I saw orange glazed pecan crusted Salmon… I was not impressed. I asked… can you simply session like your steaks? They said Sure Sir!! And it was delicious!! I should share my lemon pepper recipe with them!! Another plus for Salmon lovers… it’s a decent portion!! There are not many places with a staff this nice, willing to make changes, providing quality food, and at a reasonable prices.

We stayed one night only but I like the services. Start with the very pretty and charming receptionist, the good man at the bar for being so honest and those ladies who played billiards with me. They have a live band and the singers are great. But what amazed me was the quite large room for a very good price. It was a holy week when we were there. The resort is perfect for family holidays with kids. My boyfriend and I will surely go back there together with my family. ♥️
