I recently stayed at Abraham Bohol Resort, and unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the expectations set by the resort’s photos and previous reviews.

Location and Ambiance: The resort itself is in a decent location, but it appears much more run down than the pictures suggest. The property needs a lot of upkeep, and it doesn’t seem to be getting the attention it deserves.

Service: While the staff tried to be helpful, my experience with service was disappointing. The Wi-Fi was completely unreliable—it would cut off constantly, and we were unable to stay connected at all during our stay. Since there was no Wi-Fi in the room, we had to walk all the way to the front desk to report other issues, which was quite inconvenient.

Accommodation: The rooms were basic and didn’t match what was advertised. I encountered a serious issue when the water stopped working during a shower. After calling maintenance, the problem was eventually resolved, but it was another reminder of the lack of attention to detail.

Pool: The pool area was a major disappointment, particularly the kiddie pool. The tiles were coming off, and there were sharp edges that made it unsafe for children. Even though the resort has other pools, the condition of the kiddie pool should have been addressed to ensure the safety of all guests, especially families.

Final Thoughts: Unfortunately, the resort didn’t live up to the hype. The lack of working Wi-Fi, unreliable water supply, and the unsafe pool conditions made my stay less than enjoyable. I think there’s a lot of potential, but without proper maintenance and improved customer service, I would not recommend it to others. The only positive aspect was the security guard, who was friendly and helpful.

For anyone considering a stay, I’d suggest doing more research and being prepared for issues with the facilities. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Response to Manager:

Thank you for your response, Rachel, and for acknowledging my feedback. While I appreciate that your team assisted with the Wi-Fi issue, the connection remained unreliable throughout my stay, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the resort. The inconvenience of having to walk to the front desk to report issues due to the lack of Wi-Fi was frustrating and not ideal for guests.

I understand that there is ongoing maintenance work for the kiddie pool, but I was concerned by the condition of the pool—sharp tiles and areas in disrepair make it unsafe for children. Although there are other pools available, I believe the kiddie pool should have been closed until the necessary repairs were made for safety reasons.

Additionally, the issue with the water supply cutting off while I was in the shower was another problem that required maintenance intervention, further highlighting the lack of upkeep.

I truly hope the resort can address these issues in the future to improve the guest experience. Despite the beautiful location, the lack of consistent service, maintenance, and amenities made my stay disappointing. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I will not be returning.

Thank you again for your response, and I hope the resort improves these aspects...

Review of Abraham Bohol Dormitory Accommodation

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From the moment I stepped into Abraham Bohol, I knew I was in for a treat. As a solo traveler, finding a place that strikes the right balance between comfort, affordability, and social interaction can be a challenge. However, Abraham Bohol exceeded all my expectations.

Location and Atmosphere: Nestled in the heart of Bohol, this dormitory offers a prime location for exploring the beauty of the island. The vibrant atmosphere was further enhanced by the presence of fellow travelers from around the globe, all drawn to Bohol's summer charm.

Island Hopping and Drone Shots: One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the island hopping experience. The crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches, and stunning landscapes provided the perfect backdrop for some breathtaking drone shots. It's a photographer's paradise, and the memories captured will last a lifetime.

Food and Beverages: Exploring the islands can work up quite an appetite, and Abraham Bohol did not disappoint on this front. The meals served during our island adventures were nothing short of delectable. From savory local dishes to refreshing beverages, every bite and sip was a culinary delight that tantalized my taste buds.

Staff and Service: The team at Abraham Bohol deserves special commendation. Their warmth, respect, and attentiveness truly set them apart. Whether it was arranging island tours, recommending local spots, or attending to any requests, they were always ready to assist with a smile.

Affordability and Breakfast: Despite offering top-notch services and amenities, Abraham Bohol remains incredibly affordable. It's a testament to their commitment to providing value for money. The breakfast, though simple, was a nutritious start to the day, ensuring guests are fueled up for their Bohol adventures.

Final Thoughts: In conclusion, Abraham Bohol is more than just a place to stay; it's an experience. For solo travelers seeking a blend of adventure, relaxation, and camaraderie, this dormitory accommodation is a hidden gem in Bohol. I wholeheartedly recommend Abraham Bohol as your go-to vacation spot in Bohol. Trust me; you won't be...

Booked a private room last second because my other reasonably priced accommodation was terrible and I figured if I threw money at the problem I’d have a nice room for two nights for my girlfriend and I. But boy was I wrong! I spent ₽19,000 (it was a holiday time period) for a potato.

The room itself was pretty good. Clean, working AC. However, the hot water didn’t work at all the first day and after 5 requests for someone to come look at it and no one ever came, it finally put out lukewarm water on day two. In addition the toilet kept not functioning correctly and didn’t seem to work while you spent the 15 minute requirement to get the lukewarm water in the shower to get to your room.

Oh, don’t let me forget why I am giving this a 1/5! Not only did the water not get hot but one of the staff members was mocking the guests with a coworker “oh the water isn’t hot wah wah wah!” that really angered me. I paid a stupid price for the room, you can at least provide hot water for a shower.

The only amenity in the room is a nice (looking) TV and it didn’t work. After lots of tinkering the staff pulled the TV and swapped it with another room. Basically they have 4 rooms with TVs as far as I could tell and only 3 work and they keep moving them around instead of buying a new one.

Then the internet is worthless in the rooms area. Seems to work okay in the reception and breakfast area, but even with a strong signal it was worthless in the room. Really sucked for my partner who works remotely and needed to use her phone data instead.

There is no cold water for drinking available on the premises as far as I could tell because all the machines dispensed air temperature water.

The breakfast was also not great. If it was just for a hostel guest it’s okay, but for the outrageous price we paid for the room, it’s powdered eggs and powdered coffee and pretty bland in general.

So I guess that’s the end of my rant. If the room was priced appropriately for the rates other places charge for a similarly mediocre experience, I would say it was perfectly fine, but for this price in the Philippines I’m...

PARADISE in Panglao! Stayed last 22-24Jan with mu lfamily of 13 including kids and we arrived around 9am in the morning from a flight from Manila, which was way far from the check in time. We were greeted warmly at the reception by Iza, and tried her very best to accommodate us at least to one room where we can stock all our bags as we wait for the other room ( bunk bed room for the rest of the family). Iza was so HELPFUL to us as we made a mistake booking mixed-dormitory type, where we intend to book the private bunk beds as 8 of us (including the kids) plans to stay in one room and cannot be separated. The resort-hotel are still under construction but we are all in awe already how beautiful and serene (like paradise) it is; and I can’t stress enough how good their facilities are, that you can literally spend a whole day just by the swimming pool (very quiet area), billiards table, and many other board games. They have free water, juice, coffee and tea area which guests can enjoy anytime of the day. As we all finally checked in, Iza helped us moved to a better room next to the swimming pool which was very beautiful as we requested that it for our parents. :) The next day, during breakfast, we were greeted by Ann and took time to ask how are we and extends her help whenever we need one. The breakfast was simple but very delicious, serving a filipino dish together with some breads. Overall, our stay was very memorable especially for our family and we felt that we were all taken care of! :) The rooms has nice interiors and even the bunk bed rooms which has everything you need inside, including lockers and decent toilet & showers. The hotel guests are mostly backpackers and are foreigners in Philippines, which I can say that Abraham Bohol is very competitive in the market. Very hospitable staffs and beautiful place. Looking forward to coming back already! ❤️ Thanks again to Ann and Iza for making our stay memorable.

I had mixed impressions about my stay. The initial appeal of the place was strong; it was clean, and the staff was exceptionally helpful. However, the absence of daily housekeeping became a notable inconvenience, especially with a swimming pool and a partially open bathroom. Despite my efforts to keep things tidy, it became challenging. The ongoing renovation was another drawback. Workers started early and continued into the evening, disrupting our desire to relax after a long day. I’ve attached a video that captures the disturbance. Staff said that the renovation guys should stopped at 5pm. But my video was recorded at 18:50 and I attach screen of it. Moreover, having to request toilet paper, towels and experiencing issues with our card on the second day added to the overall dissatisfaction. When these factors are considered together, unfortunately, the overall stay fell short of expectations. Our kettle in the room was starting to show the beginnings of mold Also I think that everyone will honest admit that the breakfasts are just not best. On last day we didn’t get any fruits.
