I don't like to leave bad reviews, and usually, I don't do it. But yesterday we went there and we had a very bad experience. We arrived at 22:10 and they told us to order quickly and to be sure what we wanted because the kitchen would be close in 15-20 minutes. It's important to mention that the Google page said the restaurant is closed only at 00;00. So we wanted to order glass noodles, and we asked which flour was the glass noodles. They didn't know how to answer it they just said, "It's a flour." After 5 mentioned they tried to investigate the type of flour, I told them to forget it and that we would order something else. So we ordered the spicy beef stew and the kimchy rice. I don't eat pork, and the kimchy rice came with pork in it. They didn't mention it. Other food in the menu was mentioned "pork." So I didn't feel like I needed to verify if it came with pork or not. Again, nothing was mentioned here as a pork. In the end, they replaced it. When the stew arrived, it came with a side of white rice. They said it included (we didn't order it). At 23:10 p.m., they said they are closing at 23:00, so we need to finish eating soon (again, the Google page mentioned 00:00). When we got the bill, they added 70 pesos for the white rice. I didn't even complain about it and just paid it... the food was OK. Nothing special.
Seriously, we were very disappointed. Definitely won't...
Read moreWe had a nice dinner here on Chinese New Year’s Eve (ironic right!) we didn’t have to wait for seats and most of the customers were Korean (that’s a good sign that Koreans are eating at a Korean restaurant) I think we were like the only non Koreans. Everything was tasty as we ordered all the best sellers (you will see which is listed on the menu). I wasn’t that happy with the prices though. It’s not like the meat was amazing or life changing. It was just pretty normal meat. Nothing spectacular. But I think for the price, I would have gotten something amazing. 160g of pork belly was 450. Just to give you an example.. anyway, overall the food was good but not amazing or spectacular. The service was excellent as always with Philippino higher end...
Read moreMy family and I went out for Korean food every night during our 4-night stay, and it seems that Korean restaurants in Bohol are generally overrated. However, among the places we tried, this restaurant truly deserves a 5/5. The food — we had various types of pork, doenjang-jjigae, and mulnangmyun — was excellent, and the servers were impressively well-trained. They knew exactly how to grill Korean BBQ and did so efficiently, anticipating our needs and fulfilling them even before we asked. After trying other Korean restaurants, we regretted not returning to Bohol Don. I’d be more than happy to visit this...
