The hotel have one of the best views of the San Juanico Bridge. Customer service is exceptional. Clean and spacious room. There's a heater, a must for afternoon showers. They provided a thermos and a couple of glasses but no complimentary bottled water, no big deal. A soap was also provided at the cr. The room was too bright for my liking since there was no blackout curtains. The only thing that had me off was we were asked to be transferred to another room, which was better than the initial room we were asked to be so no complaints, after we already settled in LOL. Nevertheless I will definitely stay here again when in Tacloban. Here's a video of the view from our room ✨

Nice room, reasonable rate, good place location nearby SM and Downtown. They have elevator which not usually see in hotels here Tacloban. Good wifi, however it seem they dont accept credit card which is un derstandable because Phillipines is not really high tech and financial convinenece in the province

Near access to banks ( PNB,SECURITY BANK,BDO AND AUB ) and markets and fast-food chains just walking distance. The room is spacious for a family of 3. The room service is fast and accommodating.

I have stayed here several times and I like it for its convenience and the staff are helpful and friendly. However, two significant issues on my last two stays. Both stays in September.|While on my laptop late a rather large rat decided to pay my room a vist. The rat got into the room around the aircon. This room only had foam around the aircon, easy for the rat to chew and get through. |On my last stay when I exited my room to go out there was an extremely strong smell of cigarettes and a hotel guest was sitting in the lounge at the lift lobby smoking. When I asked the staff about it, they said smoking was permitted in the public areas in front of the lifts. For me it was extremely unpleasant to wait for the lift standing in a cloud of cigarette smoke. I thought that had been banned in the Philippines. Maybe not in Tacloban. |On the plus, very low cost, very convenient, and the...

ROOM - Hotel Canelsa has a bed, small cabled TV, towels and a table and chair. That's just about it. It is just clean white sheets that make you feel a little bit itchy on your skin. Also they only give you ONE pillow to get an extra one its P10 a night. ||||ELEVATOR - There is just one slow elevator going up and down. ||||FOOD - they serve breakfast to your room (since the restaurant is still under construction)||||BATHROOM - We entered the bathroom and there were no towels (called the reception and they gave us some) ||||SERVICE - The staff was really nice. They remember your name and can take your key before you go out. Breakfast should be done one night before with the reception ||||WIFI - This can only be accessed at the lobby not in the rooms.||||WOULD I SLEEP HERE AGAIN? - No. But if all other hotels were booked. I'd have no choice, then yes. at least there is a bed to...

You could find a better place to stay for the same price and you'd probably get in-room wifi there, too. Rooms were clean, not too big but okay, and had fresh towels and hot showers. The staff was so-so. Also, not a very peaceful place to stay, because you can easily hear people talking down the hall from our room, or the neighboring room's TV, and the downtown noises are loud and clear.||||Another thing - the promise of in-room wifi is a farce. When we stayed here, all the guests had to sit in the lobby or the sofas on each floor to get connection. A bit of hassle working with 5-8 other guests in a small area, & then having to wait your turn to plug in b/c there's only one...
