I have been wanting to visit this venue for awhile now. Finally had the opportunity. Nice atmosphere as you walk in. Kind of an Italian feel to it. Bottle of wine on the table as you sit. Not a large menu but has a variety of items to order. Being an Italian restaurant the first thing that came to my mind was lasagna yum 😋😋. Hmmmmm unavailable 🥺🥺🥺. Ordered the ravioli instead. The two long skinny breadsticks that were brought had a cheesy taste to them. They were good. I ordered ravioli, minestrone soup, baked scallops and a side of garlic bread (not included with meal), iced tea to drink. Wife ordered grilled pork chop. Took a little while for the food to come. The lettuce salad was good, croutons crunchy a nice light dressing. The soup was very good. You could tell fresh ingredients were put into the soup. Veggies were nice with a little crunch to them. Ravioli was okay. Tasteful. Garlic bread was on sourdough bread. Love sourdough bread. The pork chop was absolutely great. Like melt in your mouth pork chop 🥩. Iced tea good with a nice taste of lemon. The baked scallops were very good. Very flavorful and cooked nicely. Overall it was a nice experience. Needless to say it was a little pricy but good. More of a high end restaurant. Maybe we will come back some other time.

THE GREATEST ITALIAN RESTO IN TOWN! Ambience, especially during dinner time, is spectacular. Very moody and romantic experience. Service was exceptional. Staff was very attentive to every table. Refilling your water glass every now and then. Food was beyond words! Prices was reasonable on what you get. A bit pricey but amazing experience and food. Starting with the antipasto - The Foccasia. It is well seasoned, plenty, and crunchy. Their pizzas are amazing too. Their Prosciutto Pizza was the best and their Margherita. Their Caesar Salad was also amazing and taste authentic. Their Carbonara (Filipino style) was great, would like to try their Italian version. Their USDA Black Angus Steak is Phenomenal! Was priced P475 per 100 grams when we were there. For us, it was just the right price considering the size, the doneness of the steak, the sides, and the taste of it. It's unlike any other steak we've tasted and this is where we always go to when we crave for steak. Unlike other restos who has a fixed priced on their steak and its just little. The greatest Italian vibes and food you can find in the city. The best quality and price. Perfect for dates, special occasions, and once-a-month family dining.

This is by far the nicest restaurant in the city that I am aware of. And surprisingly, the prices were not bad at all, nor were reservations required. The thin crust 4 cheese pizza was delicious and cooked in a wood oven (although gorgonzola is not my favorite cheese, it was still good). The lapu lapu fish and shrimp were excellent. The menu was filled with delicious Italian dishes, including items not often found in the Philippines like many beef items and so on. Plus some Filipino options. Also, a fine wine/spirit and desert menu. Service was very good overall. One of the female staffers seemed unhappy. Not rude, just unhappy. I hope she is alright. Wait times for food were very reasonable. And limitless free water. Tips for improvement: Mashed potatoes could have used more salt. Also, when a customer asks for salt, you need to bring them finely ground salt, not course ground flakes. Overall, a solid 5 stars for Tacloban. I would eat here several times a week if I lived here. The quality, price, and menu all make for a very well deserved 5 star rating.

I heard good things about this place, and we enjoyed our meal there. If you are expecting authentic Italian food you will be disappointed though.

We ordered the following: Caesar salad surf and turf platter lava cake Tiramasu

The Caesar salad was simply bad. it was limp wilted iceburg lettuce with a watery flavorless dressing, burnt bacon bits, hardly any Parmesan cheese, and croutons. The croutons were the best part of the salad. If I hadn't been very hungry, I wouldn't have eaten it.

The surf and turf was better: -the beef tenderloin was well cooked, but they ruined it by drenching it with a sweet cream sauce. the small prawns were split length wise and covered with burnt bacon bits and scallions. They were hard to eat and the flavors were muddled and contradictory instead of complimentary. -I thought the salmon was pretty good, but I don't like fishy tasting fish. My Filipina wife thought it was flavorless because she likes fishy tasting fish. -The Italian sausage was served with lots of sauteed Onions and we both agreed it was the best thing on the platter. It would have been better if it had been sauteed with bell peppers too.

The lava cake was nicely presented and made with very dark chocolate. I don't like chocolate, but my wife loves it. I knew I wouldn't like it. My wife liked it at first, but didn't want to finish it because the chocolate was soooo strong.

The tiramasu was excellent and the best thing we ate. I may have had better before, but can't remember when.

I would have rated this place lower, but the atmosphere was nice, the climate was good, the service was quite good, and the Owner was personable and conversational so I gave it 4 stars instead of three. I have not been impressed with any restaurant in the Philippines, so even a 3 star rating (average and mediocre) is an accomplishment. By Filipino standards Giuseppes is great, but by international standards they are mediocre at best.

Their website is very old and the prices are all incorrect. Start your order by telling them "NO CREAM SAUCE...
