HilFrans Lodge Vigan — Hotel in Vigan

I'm a Canadian staying in the Philippines with my partner and his parents. They're from here originally, so we've mostly been staying with their family at their homes.||||We went for a trip to Vigan that required us to stay overnight, we opted to stay at HillFrans because it was the least expensive option when we searched. We ended up booking both of the diamond rooms, which as a result meant that we had the entire 4th floor to ourselves- the main door to the common area is lockable.||||The rooms were very nice: included wifi, television, air conditioning, and hot water. The building seems to be new, there were exposed pipes and some loose wires in the common area, but for the price we paid this was acceptable.||||A note to the squeamish: we encountered lizards, cockroaches, and bats while staying here- this sounds like it would be bad, but we've seen lizards and cockroaches at the family homes we've stayed at as well, so I consider this to be expected while staying anywhere in the...

Pros: Near to Vigan Public Market. Near to Calle Crisologo. Near to Partas Bus Terminal. Near church and plaza. Not a budget friendly but value for money with breakfast. Clean room with complete amenities: water heater, water, toiletries. Clean bath room with hot and cold shower and bidet. Friendly, helpful and accomodating staff. Very quiet place. Wifi is ok.

Cons: No elevator.

Good deal. Lodge is new. Hope they will maintain it’s cleanliness. 5-8mins away from plaza. Need to ride a trycycle from plaza. Close to Partas Bus terminal. Friendly staffs. Special mention to Ms. Teresa Paeta. Thanks for accommodating us on early check in & late check out. Suggestions, please add a closet to place or hang our clothes. And please spray a mosquito killer more frequent . They are banging in our ears at night. Majority, will come back again next...
