I stumbled upon the Dancing Fountains show by accident. There was not much to do in Vigan, so I just sat by the fountains before sunset watching the world go by and enjoying the gradual change of pace as the place got darker. It struck me that more and more people were gathering around the fountains, which triggered a memory of something I had read in some guide about a fountain show. As you can tell, it was not something that I was specifically seeking, but I thought "well here I am, so I might as well catch the start of it". The show started at 7.30, but once I caught the start I could not tear myself away! I just kept thinking "this is good, just another 5 minutes more..." The combination of varied music, dancing water fountains and a multicoloured light show kept me there a further 45 minutes! That is a pretty long time for someone who is not particularly fussed about water fountain shows. In short, I was pleasantly surprised, particularly in such a small town that offered little else in terms of...

Viva Vigan in Ilocos Sur is a charming destination that takes visitors on a journey back in time to experience the rich history and cultural heritage of the Philippines. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Vigan's well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture and cobblestone streets offer a glimpse into the country's colonial past.Walking through the streets of Vigan feels like stepping into a bygone era, with its beautifully restored ancestral houses, quaint shops selling local crafts and delicacies, and horse-drawn carriages known as "kalesas" meandering through the narrow streets. One of the highlights of a visit to Vigan is exploring Calle Crisologo, the city's main thoroughfare, lined with elegant Spanish colonial buildings dating back to the 18th century. It's a photographer's paradise, with its picturesque facades and...

Vigan's Dancing Fountain: A Delightful Surprise!

Vigan's dancing fountain was an absolute gem! I wasn't expecting much, but let me tell you, the show was spectacular. It kicked off with a high-energy performance to Maneskin's version of "Beggin'", with the water jets perfectly in sync with the music.

But the show didn't stop there. They threw in a beautiful display set to the iconic soundtrack of Titanic, which was incredibly moving. For all the Filipino Pop fans out there, they even included SB19's hit song "Gento" in the mix!

The entire experience was truly unforgettable. The combination of water, music, and light created a dazzling display that was both entertaining and impressive.

Highly recommend checking out the Vigan Dancing Fountain if you're...
