I stumbled upon the Dancing Fountains show by accident. There was not much to do in Vigan, so I just sat by the fountains before sunset watching the world go by and enjoying the gradual change of pace as the place got darker. It struck me that more and more people were gathering around the fountains, which triggered a memory of something I had read in some guide about a fountain show. As you can tell, it was not something that I was specifically seeking, but I thought "well here I am, so I might as well catch the start of it". The show started at 7.30, but once I caught the start I could not tear myself away! I just kept thinking "this is good, just another 5 minutes more..." The combination of varied music, dancing water fountains and a multicoloured light show kept me there a further 45 minutes! That is a pretty long time for someone who is not particularly fussed about water fountain shows. In short, I was pleasantly surprised, particularly in such a small town that offered little else in terms of entertainment!
