The good: Location of the hotel. My request was answered and I got a room with very nice view. Swimming pool and saunas were OK. Variety of food available for breakfast. Great food in "Arte" restaurant* Great barman in "Arte" bar.
The bad: Since I left the place I can't stop thinking how the hotel was given 5 stars.
*First things first - message to the management: your hotel is located in POLAND after all, so please do take care of your Polish guest on the same level you're doing for Germans. It is very sensational and unheard of that the only nation entitled for 10% discount in your otherwise great and expensive "Arte" restaurant are...Germans!!! What business standards those are is beyond me.
Room: A/C - not working. Bathroom - lack of ventilation. 2 towels for 2+2 family. no face towels (I had to request them). cleanliness of the carpet in the room - very arguable. poor internet connection in room 50x (but OK in room 10x) TV channels - most of them in German, even Disney Channel (!)
Meals: permanent lack of plastic forks and/or spoons for children. some (raw) food items carried over (!!!) from previous day(s). staff in the restaurant - could not care less - sensational lack of interest: a. coffe machine was getting faulty - we reported it - nobody bothered b. same coffe machine next day - nearly broken with hot product spraying all over the place (!!!!) c. my kids spilled some water on the floor - not single person paid ANY interest to get the floor clean and safe: it was us, parents, on our knees wiping the floor with tissues - nothing extraordinary BUT we were 5m away from the restaurant's manager (door person) who was observing us and with some waitresses passing by.
Parking: I was offered a parking spot for 20 PLN which happened to be outside of the property and on the top of that, nobody offered me a place in the garage for just 10 PLN more. There is nothing 5-star...
Read moreHi ||Came with my wife and daughter for few days escape. We had top floor room facing south with a bit of view on the sea. |I would like to write reviews in 2 parts first for staff and second for the facility. As the first is well deserves the 5* and the 2nd is questionable. |1) staff is very polite and always happy to help and that what deserv 5 star in this hotel. |Starting from people in restutant through reception to the front bar. |2) Facilities :|Room: few stains on the carpet that I am sure could be removed with basic carpet cleaner. Room was more like 4* not 5*. |The shocking part in all of it was a loose tile on the balcony that when my wife stepped on it lost her balance and it is quite scary when it is so close to the edge with glass banisters( pic attached ) |Not sure if any inspection was carried out before start of the season. | Beautty and spa. My wife had her nails done and she was very happy with quality, price and staff approch |Swimming pool: in my opinion 5 out of 10. |Smells of chlore quite a lot and super slippery tails on the floor ( even when you walk slowly and not run ) my small one almost twisted her hand when she was walking and lost balance -be aware. |Kids play area: good size but if you are in busy period when schools are on holiday it might get busy ( I visited after Bank Holiday in May so was very lucky ) |Breakfast and dinner: okay and good quality but bit wierd menu sometimes and I always had a felling that I was missing something( I can compare with other hotels on Polish seaside and this menu wasn’t in my top 5 ) good kids menue but for kids sake please add meatballs with pasta and tomato souce :)|Front Bar: Brilliant staff that can qive good advice and knowledge what to get ( both on bubbles and cakes ) |5+ for that |Good location slightly away from the main bit of the sea pier but within...
Read moreWe came here for 6 nights during the long May weekend. Overall, everything was satisfactory and the 5 stars live up to its name (although I, as a food buff, did not fall in love with the food). Definitely recommend the apartments on the 2nd floor if you are staying with kids. However, the issue with such hotels are the amounts of people that show up during long weekends or holidays. Suddenly, you have cues to the pool (!) and guests cannot get in, because there is too many people inside... (I have never encountered such a situation before). The playroom for children was a mad house, because it, too, is not prepared to host that many children. A second restaurant area had to be opened for meals, as the main one could not fit everyone. I am sure the weather had its share in this, because it was not too good, so people preferred to stay in than go to the windy beach (which, by the way, is super close! the hotel is right next to the promenade, which you can take all the way to the pier!). For the reasons I mention before, I would not book a room here during the high season again - unless you don’t mind crowds :) |P.S. The red-haired waitress at the hotel restaurant/bar area was awfully rude, completely not guest-friendly. The blond bartender and the one with longer hair and an earring were very nice and professional on...
