Hi.At the reception, the receptionist did not greet us with a ‘good evening’ or how was your journey. She was very cold, unfriendly, and unprofessional. At the end of the check-in, she did not wish us a pleasant stay.
Reception service was very cold, showing no positive emotions – professionally unfriendly.
I reported this to the new hotel director. She explained that she is new here, does not yet know all the staff, and promised to speak with the receptionist who greeted us in such an unfriendly way. She apologized for the incident, but did not offer us anything as a gesture of goodwill. At check-out, the same receptionist again failed to say even “thank you” or “goodbye.”
Breakfast service was equally disappointing. I did not see a single smile on the faces of the staff. Plates were taken from the tables without a word such as “may I take this?” or any friendly gesture. Staff moved between tables in total silence, more like drones than hospitality professionals. This is something I have never experienced in any other hotel worldwide.
From my observation, the only staff who greeted guests warmly with a “hello” were employees from the Philippines and Black staff members. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian employees remained silent.
I also reported to the director that there was a decomposing bird outside near the entrance to our room. She promised to intervene. However, after five days of our stay, the bird was still there. This is not only unpleasant for guests to look at, but also a clear violation of health and safety regulations.
In summary: Over the past two years I have spent several dozen nights at the Radisson in Kołobrzeg.
The hotel interior is very nice.
Breakfast is tasty and varied, but with frequent stays it becomes monotonous.
The service, however, falls far below the standards of any other hotels I have stayed in – from Spain to Brazil, the USA, and even cruise ships.
I can recommend this hotel 100% for a one-night stay. For longer stays, however, there are certainly nicer...
Read more|The standard of the room and common areas was good, very clean and fresh with tasteful decor! But that's where we stop being impressed. Have no expectations of this accommodation. You can hardly call this luxury and flair. ||We hurried to the restaurant hoping to enjoy the spa for the rest of the evening. We started our stay with a mediocre buffet, which certainly tasted good, but the experience was crap. The staff in the restaurant seemed to hate their job. No one smiled, no one greeted and you received no service. We had to drink water the whole dinner and (!) , you want coffee after? No of course you can't have that. They don't serve it for dinner. Well after dinner we looked forward to a nice time in the spa department while everyone else had dinner. There we got our second dissapontment. Namely, you only get the spa for "free" (for what is included in the price when booking) for 70 minutes, then they have to charge PLN 45 for every hour after that. But you don't have to bother with that, if you don't want to look out over a paddling pool with children or share a cold hot tub with other disgruntled adult couples. Apart from the "hot tubs" there are 3 saunas, but none of them are particularly amazing. We look forward to the infinity pool instead, which they talk about so much. You actually have access to change it for free until the 22nd, can you think of anything better!? No bar in sight in either the spa department or "roof top with infinity pool". Sounds more amazing than it is. Sad view of slum area surrounding the resort. There is no luxury and flair there either! |All in all, it is surprising how this hotel can have so many satisfied guests. If you expect a spa hotel, go somewhere else. If you want playground and waterpark for kids, this is perfect. But please don't call it a spa resort. You just ending up with...
Read moreGreat Hotel. But the parking situation is a trap. I was there three times and I could park in front of the hotel for free. Then the community of Kolberg changed the parking slot (which I thought was part of the hotel) in October 2023 to chargeable, which I know today one year later due to an expensive fee. The signs for the chargeable parking slots are 300 Meter away. So I arrived in the night after a 4 hours trip and I was still thinking that it was free to park there (cause it was free 3 times before) and now got an expensive fee for more than 55 Euros (parking fees in Berlin Germany are 20 Euros). During check in, I did not get the warning about that trap (simple question or warning would have been enough). We complained about it but had to pay for the Hotel parking slot then for more than 11 Euros per day without goodwill. Fun fact: we got a pretty unfriendly private response by e-mail saying that we have to care for the traffic rules by ourselves, while at the same time in the public answer on google, they invited us to contact the hotel for improvement of information. (Which we did already). So honest communication and goodwill about the misunderstanding due to the new regulations of the parking slot would have been nice for regular guest who appreciate the hotel apart from the...
