Império Romano Guest House — Hotel in Beja

This is a shared guest house, with a shared kitchen, patio, and lounge room, however individual rooms have locks on the doors, and the showers allocated are also specific to a given family/group. As a family, we stayed in the 6-person family room, and no other families stayed during the time we were there. We had a rental car, and we parked in the car park just outside the castle in town, where there are no parking fees or time restrictions, and just hauled our luggage through the street - it was a 5-10min walk. Upon arrival, we called the number on the door, and he arrived within 5min, let us in, gave us keys, and showed us around. He arranged a mutually agreeable time to come the following to make breakfast, and the following morning he arrived on time and served us breakfast. It was really nice. We stayed two days, with the same routine. He also has a really nice 'things to do book' in the lounge, through which one can browse, and determine things to do while in Baja.

The host, Jorge, speaks perfect English, and was responsive to my messages when I booked on Agoda asking about parking.

A decoração do espaço é incrível, fazendo-nos levar até à era do império romano. O detalhe com que cada divisão foi pensada é excepcional. O pequeno-almoço, preparado e servido pelo Jorge, era muito bom, diversificado e completo. As reservas são organizadas de forma a garantir que não há mais do que um quarto reservado em cada andar em simultâneo, garantindo a maior comodidade possível para os hóspedes. Tanto o Jorge como a Eunice, donos da GuestHouse, são extremamente simpáticos, acolhedores e estão sempre disponíveis (mesmo não vivendo na GuestHouse). São também pessoas muito interessantes!
