This is obviously the place to go for typical Portuguese food and a must for meat eaters, especially if you like your pork or beef. However, as a vegetarian there isn't much choice! (The vegetarian restaurant down the road was closed). I opted for a homemade vegetable soup, scrambled eggs and a tomato salad. My Mum had the grilled chicken and chips, which were actually crisps (cold) which to my mind is an odd serving. We had a really nice waiter who spoke some English and recommended the grilled mixed plate for the two of us to share. Both the pork and beef were great, but we were really impressed with the beef. The guy who served us was very nice and gentle to us and our child too. Our menu was: bife de novilho ( that comes with migas de esparragos/ migas de alho/ batatas fritas/ arros e picanha fina.
