Montinho Tiny House — Hotel in Lagoa

For us there is now only one place that we will ever stay when we come back to the Algarve and that is with Saskia in Montinho. ||The location is perfect, down a gravel track away from the main roads and with a stunning view across the beautiful surrounding Algarve countryside. You wouldn’t know that within a short drive you are in the centre of everything Algarve, caves, beaches, cliffs and great restaurants (try O Algar in Benagil, the staff are lovely and the food is amazing).||We don’t where to start regarding the Montinho villa itself as we feel we could easily do it an injustice. A modern, beautiful, stylish and chic retreat is as close as one could get. Saskia’s attention to detail is wonderful, the breakfasts are special, the rooms have everything and again it is so quiet. And Saskia just can’t do enough for you. ||The only problem is leaving. Montinho is a wonderful boutique bed and breakfast, newly renovated and located in a beautiful rural setting with Benagil beach less than a km away. A hire car is essential to maximise the wonderful beaches, towns and local restaurants. Carvoeiro is very near with all its attractions and many restaurants. |It was wonderful to return to Montinho in the evenings with its tranquil setting and air of peace. The breakfasts were amazing and more than one could eat, the hosts were welcoming, friendly, accommodating and ever helpful with queries and advice. I really enjoyed my stay in the B&B. ||When you arrive, you will be welcomed by the owners and you feel straight away at home.||The rooms are clean and spacious, with a great bed. You have an air-conditioning but it is also lovely with the doors open to your own private terrace or garden.||The area is very peaceful, so it was great to relax with a book at the pool under the canopy roof or take a swim.||Breakfast was every day different, with lots of fresh fruits/ smoothies, nice breads, great coffee etc.||Because there are only 3 rooms it is a relax place to stay also if other guests are there. You have various places to sit outside; your own terrace/ general terrace with lounge area / roof lounge/ pool en outside ‘bar’ without inconvenience of the others.||Overall a great...
