Beach: Quinta do Lago Praia Price: free, parking is paid Food (restaurant): Gigi's Beach restaurant Beach 2: Private lake [Artur's Watersports Academy*] Food (restaurants): Casa do Lago / The Shack / UMAMI *Water entertainments Golf courses: several ones, the main one is the Southern (San Lorenzo Golf Course) Tourism: hotels, private villas Shopping mall: Quinta Shopping Location: at the entrance to the city from Almancil (in front of the Conrad Algarve Hotel) Supermarkets: Pingo Doce (North) Gardens: Jardim e escultura Ayrton Senna da Silva Biking: From Faro (Airport) - through the Ludo Trail (southeast) From Vale do Lobo - through Passadiço Vale do Lobo (southwest) Historical monuments: Roman salting fish tanks - small historical ruins Natural attractions: Trilho São Lourenço (Ria Formosa) At Quinta do Lago, you can observe various species of animals.

Played the South Course, recommend playing this if you are in the Algarve, a testing course with a lot of character. Good pace of play and a buggy bar on the course too. Greens were great and quite fast (don't go off the practice greens, very different). The practice facility is epic too. We hired clubs, Taylormade Stealth stiff shafts, only criticism of these is the sand wedge would be better placed with a 56o as the Stealth SW has a head like a brick :). The club house is really good too with a large decking area and great choice of food and drink. I'll be back again to try the other courses soon.

A great cycle route near to beach. Watch the planes come into Faro . The cycle route is definitely on a 5 star surface. Also at the start, there is a car park, but, better still there is a super de-luxe cycle park with charging facilities for e bikes.There is a boarded path actually on the beach later on terminating at a small beach cafe complete with table,chairs bean bags and sun umbrellas. It's an amazing experience. For me it's up there with the best sunny cycle routes...(go westwards for best route away from Faro)

Played the South Course, recommend playing this if you are in the Algarve, a testing course with a lot of character. Good pace of play and a buggy bar on the course too. We have been coming here for almost 20 years & it's just like coming home again each time. The apartments are beautiful. They are kept in pristine condition as are the grounds. Improvements are being made all the time. All of the staff are very friendly & are like a second family. Nothing is too much trouble for them, whatever job they do. They are all very attentive. The food is amazing & the cocktail & wine demonstration sessions are well worth attending. The resort is security controlled & family friendly. The coast is a 10 minute stroll away & is a Coastal Wildlife Reserve. It is beautiful. If you are looking for a peaceful, comfortable & friendly place to stay, then this is it. I highly...
