In short: as a customer you always have the choice to stand up and leave a place if you're mistreated.
We came for supper and asked for a table for four. While the restaurant was almost empty we were left in front of it to wait. Finally waiter asked us to come into the guest room, but we wanted to stay outside and asked for a table outside. Seems this was already too much to ask for. Obviously, the waiter was annoyed by our request, but somehow he managed to give us a table. As said, almost empty.... Again waiting, now for the menu card. Also finally got one after being ignored for a decent while. Then the owner of the place came to pick up our order. But the guy was behaving really extraordinary impolite showing us that we are not really welcome. So that was it. We got up, said thank you, and that we are leaving. No, we can't recommend this place and we'll...
Read moreI went to this restaurant to try its pizza and to see if it was worth the stop. After trying dozens of pizza restaurants (including in Italy)… it isn’t. They aren’t made with wood-oven (so it doesn’t have the best flavour you can get). I asked the owner and he told me it’s a combination of wood and electric to be faster to serve. I don’t think it’s a great excuse, as other restaurants have proven. It’s a nice pizza, just not great. The sangria was on the weaker side, but when I asked the waitress to fix it, he did it promptly. The service is kind and if you go to the first floor, you get a good view. Regarding the price, if you are looking just for pizza, you will be better suited in Almancil, trust me. Overall pleasant but...
Read moreWe went there twice as the first visit where we had Pizza was fine. Carlsberg beer on tap, service was nice, pizza was good, but not the best you would ever have but decent enough for a tourist restaurant like Pedra's. Second visit we wanted to eat pasta and it was a bad decision. Not too much taste at the funghi tagliatelle, at least fresh pasta, and the canneloni was one of the worst I ever had. I think they used taco seasoning for the minced meat which made the half cold, half warmed canneloni even worse. The strawberry as decoration was the "highlight". Focaccia was pizza bread without any seasoning. If you want to eat pizza, it will be fine, but...
