We stayed in the green room and believe me that the pictures published in the web are old because right now the walls are plenty of fungus and the curtains and lamp of the roof, are full of dust and fungus. The curtain of the bathtub in our floor was dirty and with fungus too. The handwash soap was actually water with soap for washing machine...the pillowcases smelled like used by last guest...the towels were old and wasted.. The hostess was a young man, by the way, very gentle and nice, that was a voluntary that offers his help for a free room, obviously he did what he could do. The only thing positive is that the place is close to the beach and restaurants and grocery store. Another point is related to the payment because should be in cash and in Booking application this info is not so clear. The reception is not available all the time and you need to be aware that maybe you will need to call to the owner or the voluntary people in charge because they could be at the beach or wherever.. in my case, on despite that I had informed about my arrive hour, Spain time, when I came to the place, I had to call the owner because they were waiting for me one...
Read moreThe Guest House is located only a few minutes from the Coastline, from the balcony you can even see the sea (and hear it at night :) ) The house itself is sweet and cozy- nothing special BUT it has a fireplace wich was great for being there in December. ||||The new owners, Bruno and Tatiana are more than kind. They are in their early thirties and stayed at the Guesthous for some nights while I was there. We had Barbeque and beers together and the atmosphere is just really relaxed - exactly what I wanted. Bruno even dropped me off at the bus station when I had to leave.||||If you are a surfer you'll find everything you need here. In Baleal and Peniche there is dozens of great spots to surf. If you are not a surfer - like me - go there anyway! It is the perfect time out, close to the beach, cheap with great hosts and nice warm beds.||||I am sure I'll be back some...

If you are looking for a hipster, hippie, party place or a place to meet up bunch of people then perhaps this is not the one.||||+ nice balcony room||+ staff is super chilled, friendly and competent||+ fully equipped||+ nice common area with a big table for breakfast/lunch/dinner/drinks||+ board rental @10EUR/day ||+ 3 minutes walk to the beach||+ restaurants near-by||+ spacious and clean rooms & bathrooms||+ chilled atmosphere ||+ wifi||+ good atmosphere ||+ plenty of parking around||+ nice hood||+ all rooms are non-smoking||||- no breakfast ||- perhaps somewhat pricey (50 EUR/night) ||- mattresses are bit too hard...
