Washed Up Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Peniche

I have only been there twice and ordered the same thing. Macha latte w a shot of espresso with oatmilk. Ooh and they actually carry my favorite barista version Oatley Milk! Place has a very chill vibe. Coffee tastes good. Like most European coffee places they do coffee art. I love those details. Lucille (sorry fi spelling is wrong) whom I had the chance to talk to today is so friendly! She has a great memory too! I was there just twice but the second time I went she reminded me that I orderd my coffee w oatmilk thr last time. Haha! Impressive! 😁 I was in Peniche on a short vacation but I’d definitely come back here again next time I am here. Good location too with easy parking!

Absolutely unrecommendable. Came last Sunday at 10 am, staff was grumpy and told us straight away in an annoyed manner that we at least have to wait 30 min (with a undertone of "guys just don't order and don't dare to give us more work") ..we left to check another place but decided to come back as the other place didn't have proper food. Once we wanted to order we were now told in an even more annoyed manner "I really don't think we can take any more orders for now" they had 6 papers with orders placed in front of them..!? The place wasn't even full. Never happened to me anywhere before that my order was turned away. Just super badly managed and surely not all fault of the staff but the staff in the end still has some responsibility for how they...

I was recently in baleal for about 3 months and this cafe basically became my second home. The staff is always warm and welcoming and so is the clientele (lots of locals & returning customers - including cute doggies). The vibes are pretty chill for people either working remotely or just looking to lounge around and just vibe after a surf sesh. They also host multiple weekly events at night - ranging from karaoke night to Latino night (don’t leave your dancing shoes at home). Would definitely recommend their beautifully crafted coffees, toasts and açai bowls. I’m definitely going to miss this place....
