Cantina de Ferrel — Restaurant in Peniche

We reserved a table but started dining over an hour later, and unfortunately, not everyone at the same time. The dishes came discontinuously, so we couldn’t fully enjoy the dinner. We would have liked to have wine with the meal, but it ended up being impossible. The food quality is good, but the service is unpleasant. We’ve been here a couple of times, and we noticed a lack of collaboration when asking questions about the menu and the slowness of the service. This last time, the experience was much worse, and unfortunately, the service showed no empathy or offered any solutions. They tried to justify a series of circumstances that shouldn’t involve the customer because they neither help nor resolve anything and create an uncomfortable experience. I went to have dinner, not to be discussing the reasons why I’m having dinner an hour later. On the other hand, it’s very uncomfortable to see other customers who arrived later already being served, or the staff having their dinner next to you when you still haven’t received yours. I can't understand how anyone could rate this restaurant any less than five stars. The atmosphere is perfect, and the location is ideal—right in Ferrel, close to the surf and all the cool spots. The service was impeccable; the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always offered helpful suggestions with a smile. The food was absolutely delicious—creative pizzas, fresh veggies, and the truffle olive oil elevated everything to another level. They even offer large bottles of Pellegrino sparkling water, which not many restaurants do. Overall, it was a flawless experience. This is my new favorite spot in the Ferrel area, and quite possibly in Peniche. Hands down, the best Italian food around. This place is hands down the best in the area! My family and I came here twice in one week because we loved it so much! The owner was amazing too us both times! The food is absolutely delicious!! And the drinks are great and everything here is a great price. Had a gin & 7 for €2.50 compared to everywhere else which was at least €6 of 7 for the same thing. The lasagna is Phenomenal and the pizza is terrific. But the place is very tiny so make sure to come right at 7 or earlier or make a reservation to ensure a spot. You can't wrong with coming here!!!
