Hostel da Praia — Hotel in Portimão

Heartless owners. Booked via booking.com. Even after explaining that my father has just passed away and I was not thinking straight when I accidentally booked the wrong dates for my accommodation they refuse a refund.

I completely understand that I unintentionally booked without a refund option however on a human level and with my circumstances of my dad just passing and not thinking straight, I thought it would be found in your heart to approve a refund, i even told the owner i want to get the refund and donate it to a charity to the type of cancer that my father passed away from so that the. money can actually go towards cancer research.

They offered for me to move my booking dates but i wont even be in the country to be able to move it, refund is my only option. My messages are being left on read at the moment.

I really hope they find it in their heart to authorise a refund, i have just lost my dad and on a human level i wont even be in the location at those dates. I pray they understand and...

Backpackers go somewhere else!!

Hostel includes 2 Rooms which are stacked up with beds. No Hostel Atmosphere at all. Just lonely people.

Terrace, Social Area is very dirty see pictures... Kitchen incl. Fridge is also very dirty Bathrooms don't get cleaned also dirty

No Powersocket near or anywhere in the rooms just a USB-Port near the Bed

Noise all night long through the near "Partystreet". Earplugs highly recommended.

Only positive Thing is the kind Lady at the reception and the Beach which is 300m away...

This is the first time I made the decision to do a hostel. And I am so impressed with this place. It's right what they call on the strip, which is kind of busy. So if you're one that don't like music at midnight, bring earplugs, I chose a 4 bed Female room there is 2 bathrooms and it's really really nice.it has a locker which you use your own code it's no more than a 5 minute walk to the beach I'm very impressed for it being my first time.
