I can NOT recommend Porto Domus. Do not go there. Only go there, if your job is to clean stuff, you are needed.
Those are my main issues: it's dirty. The air vent is dirty. The bedroom is dirty. The night table is dirty. The tiles in the bathroom are dirty, or is it black mold? some parts of the interior seem like they were found in some 50 year old school and re-used. Like the soap dispenser, toilet paper holder, bathroom mirror, etc. the bed was hard and uncomfy breakfast for 12€ was disgusting. The first spoon I grabbed was dirty. The coffee container looked like it was from another time and never cleaned. What was offered looked like somebody just grabbed the 3 cheapest options from the next discounter. They put aluminum foil below the cheese on the plate. Probably because they don't want to clean the plate. Even the kitchen aid went to the coffee machine in the lobby instead of drinking the coffee he brewed for the breakfast.
One good point was that the receptionists were really nice and helpful.
Overall I would never visit this hotel again. To me it seems like the owners try to cut costs wherever possible, at the expense of basic requirements like cleanliness. It seems like they only invest into the most visible part: the reception. I am sorry for the staff. Instead of visiting this hotel, just invest 20-30€ more to get an actually nice and clean place, like Hotel Malmerendas around the corner. That hotel is great in contrast, and even a little closer to the inner city of Porto.

Read moreThis is NOT a 3 star hotel. More like an average 2 star. Common areas old and tired. Rooms cheaply remodeled and are already tired and in poor repair. Pictures of Headboard peeling, shower head pulling out of wall, and shower door corrosion. All 4 pillows cheap and had gone very lumpy. Bare bones room that is not maintained properly. Common area dated, boring with stains all over carpets. Priced the same as many 4 star hotels in the area. Staff unfriendly and do the bare minimum but not quite to tbe extent I would describe as rude (just indifferent and sour faced). The postive: air conditioner worked well. Nice firm beds. Clean sheets. Lots of hot water. Free self serve cake and coffee station in lobby. Quiet location with store accross the street. About 2 k from historic/tourist area. Some great food close by. Summary: hotel is over rated, in poor condition and poor value We would Not recommend you stay here when so many better value hotels...
Read moreHotel was practical, comfortable and suited out purpose (a quick weekend visit).
Bear in mind rooms are quite small and the lift is very small and very old (scary!) so I would not recommend if you are not fit to walk up stairs. Location is not far from the centre of Porto but also remember there are steep hills so again, may be tricky if you have limited mobility or fitness.
Staff were super helpful and friendly and while it's a little dated it was kept nice and clean. Also super convenient to and from the airport on the metro. We enjoyed our stay...
